Insane piloting skills in terms of risk vs reward with the bullet hell and chain explosion. Always marvel at how Cave programmers creat such intense bullet hell shoot-em-up. One wonders what the likes of CAVE, PSIKYO, RAIZING would have created nowadays if it wasn't for past events of pandemic years. End of an era for 2D shoot-em-ups. I've recently got into this game. I wanted to know if you'd recommend practicing with difficulty turned up to 3. I'm only working on learning patterns and scoring. At first, i was trying to 1cc, but i was killing everything as soon as it appeared and wasn't getting much out of it.

Hi Dox! Personally I'd recommend playing it at default difficulty, just so you get the full idea of what the attacks and patterns will be. There is rank in this game, but it's fairly tame compared to other games. If you're killing things too quickly, you'll have to get good at feeling out the enemies hp. For example, if you watch me play the first stage, on one plane I simply tap the C button 3 times. That actually gives me the precise amount of damage to set up for either gems or rings, depending on what I need. Other enemies will show damage with a visual clue, like fire rising out of it. It takes some time to get used to, but eventually it becomes second nature!
