A 1CC of one of my favorites from Cave! It's interesting seeing people use Nail, I only use Rivet just for how good it can at full power. Scoring is so fun as well in this game, I wish more shmups would take note of it.

Solid stuff man! I have this on Switch via the Capcom Arcade Stadium but have only ever sampled it for a short while. It reminds me a lot of Steel Empire and eventually I'd like to get around to it. Congrats!

Beautiful Want to try this cc as well right now. Unfortunately, my only option is Capcom Stadium on Switch, but I see myself investing in a Mister in the near future.

The aesthetic of this game is indeed wonderful. It's clearly Miyazaki inspired, but a lot of the enemy designs also give it a Megaman Legends feel. This was one of the first games recommended to me when I was getting into the genre and wanted things with a bit of a different art style. Put it off for a few days because "a game on the old ass Capcom Arcade having style? Nah." I was so wrong.

It's an amazing game and I liked it immediately, I played Shmups for over a year before returning to it and it was a very joyous experience learning the game and going for a clear. I will give it my top 3 cave games easily. And one of the few cave games that rewards scoring with extends and better bombs 😎 (and screen clearing Gem 💎 reactions!)

How the input lag feels? I suppose is the same of the arcade.

on MiSTer it feels direct - honestly perfect for me, BUT I have NOT played this game in the arcade, so I cannot compare the two. but This feels a lot better than Capcom Arcade Stadium, just feels more consistent and more responsive. I would judge on mister this is a 3 frame game + whatever your display adds, this is my GUESS, I have NOT measured. but I have played my fair share of games, and this is my educated guess I would say +/- 0.5 frames on my general accuracy when compared to those who measure these.

@@AKTANEARCADE knowing how mister works. Probably it have the same as arcade or less. So it's great. On capcom arcade stadium the lag is terrible almost unplayable for me. And on emulation I reduce the input lag on retroarch but I don't know if it's on par with the original hardware or mister.

@@superhadouken if you're using runahead input lag reduction, mister will never be able to do better than that, unfortunately, but with a CRT, mister will feel pretty much like the PCB.. with an LCD, you might need runahead to match it, depending on your setup

@@AKTANEARCADE i use runahead and play connected to a crt through crtemudrivers. So for you , runahead is better than original hardware? I was plannning to get a mister to have a closer original hardware experience. I thought input lag would be better.

@@superhadouken think about it, runahead can go as far as the technology allows, I personally don't use it because I feel like there are subtle graphical and audio glitches with it that I don't like, and I am not so competitive, I'm okay with +/- 1 frame from original arcade experience on my LCD, I will take that and full accuracy vs performance.
