Love the good work. Better videos than other people because it almost feels as if we are engaging within the training as well😝😁

You should do that cutback drill more often.Mimics a game situation and makes the keeper have to either catch or parry away from the danger every time.Great vid as always!

I just thought about something: when Armando did the last drill I think, he jumps just before the shot, do you think that is good or bad Omar?

Great Video. One observation though, at 14 minutes the Keeper moves back to save which I think is wrong. You would want to move forward to make it easier to cover the angle and make the save isnt it?

When the player sends the “cut back” into the box, should a goalkeeper always try to steal ground to close the Angle, or stay on the goal line to give more time to react to the shot
@progkacademy6 жыл бұрын
Every situation is unique. I would say to use your instinct but make sure that you commit to a movement. You don't want to get caught on the move and end up taking yourself out of a potential save because of it.

Hey coach Omar, Recently I’ve been training much more often then I have in the past, and after almost every session the sides of my hips are sore/bruised. Is this just something that I have to deal with or is there likely something wrong with my form?
@danieltek22986 жыл бұрын
Your diving is probably wrong. Im also a goalkeeper and train for hours every day and my sides/hips arent very sore
@danieltek22986 жыл бұрын
It also depends on what kind of field you are training on. Turf fields burn your skin way more than grass field do.
@danieltek22986 жыл бұрын
Try to land more on your lateral muscles (dont know how to write that word correctly) but basically try to land on your side with your arms in front to make the dive not as bad if you get what im talking about

Realy good and fun video! Like all your training videos alot But They waste a lot of energy jumping like a rubber ball before the shot all the time. Never a normal behaviur in a match.

Hey coach, I would like to know what height is Armando. Because i am 14 years old and 183cm. Around 6 feet so i was wondering if i stop growing, would that be enough to become a pro goalkeeper
@dominicmaunder60756 жыл бұрын
Height isn’t always everything when it comes to Goalkeeping, sure it helps but there are plenty of professional goalkeepers who are only 6 foot or there abouts. Mat Ryan is 184cm and he’s killing it for Brighton in the Premier League
