Programmable thermostats are designed to save money.
To get the most savings from your furnace, the following demonstrates a weekly set up.
Note that Models may vary in appearance.
For ‘Time’ and ‘Day’ settings: Switch the system to ‘Off’. Press the ‘Set’ button.
The current adjustable setting will flash, as in the ‘Clock’ setting. Move up or down with the arrow keys to make adjustments. Select the correct time of day. ‘Set’ to secure and advance to the ‘Day’ setting. Adjust the arrows to select the correct day.
‘Set’ to secure and advance to the ‘Schedule’ mode.
‘Wake’, ‘Leave, ‘‘Return’, and ‘Sleep’ times.
First, slide the ‘System’ switch to ‘Heat’, adjust the arrows to select the heated ‘Waking’ time. ‘Set’ to secure and advance to the waking ‘Temperature’. Adjust the arrows to select the temperature.
‘Set’ to secure and advance to ‘Leave’ time. Adjust the arrows to select when you will leave the house. ‘Set’ to select and advance to the leaving ‘Temp’. Adjust the arrows to select the temperature. ‘Set’ to select and advance.
‘Return’ time. Adjust the arrows to select the return time. ‘Set’ to secure and advance to the returning ‘Temp’. Adjust the arrows to select the temperature. ‘Set’ to secure and advance.
‘Sleep’ time. Adjust the arrows to select sleep ‘Time’. ‘Set’ to secure and advance to Sleep ‘Temp’. Adjust arrows to select temperature. Continue through the cycle for Saturday and Sunday settings. You will complete the heating set up when prompted with an ‘End’ screen.
If your home is equipped with an air conditioner, a cooling schedule can also be set up. First slide the ‘System’ switch to ‘Cool’, then follow the similar steps outlined for a heating set up.
Temporary overrides can be accomplished simply by pressing up or down on the arrow keys.
The new temperature will hold until the next pre scheduled change takes place.
