Thank you for this video. These drives have a very confusing menu structure. Most of the functionality in these things I don't even use. I've been tearing my hair out at work trying to get this to work, as described in this video. Re. another video, you mention changing running modes alters some settings, so no wonder why I messed up a drive that was already working... Videos like this are very helpful in understanding the book. Now that I've watched this, I go back and read the menu settings in the book, and I just want to plant my face in my hands, as I feel so stupid that I didn't get it from reading it...

Altivar 312 не запускает двигатель с редуктором при 5 Гц,а уже при 6,5 запуск двигателя есть.0,75 altivar ,а двигатель 0,55 вт(с редуктором,подключения треугольник) какие параметры надо изменить,чтоб работал при 4-5 Гц.Спасибо

Remote mode means the speed (frequency or motor speed in Hertz) and command (start and stop control) come from a source outside of the drive (such as a computer or building control center). Local mode means the speed and command are performed using the buttons on the drive itself. These controls can be separate so the command to start can be done locally using the buttons on the drive and the speed can come from a computer (or vice versa).

^^This - I wrongly assumed that I could configure the same way as an ATV61/71, by simply going to CTL, access level to 3 (from reading the 312 manual), I/O mode to separate and then ref to the jog wheel with command on the terminal. It didn't work, found this video which helped, but why does the VSD need to be put into local mode in the first place? If you configure the separate I/O mode, command on terminal speed ref on jog wheel, why doesn't it run? Stupid

Thanks for reaching out. The ATV312 is much different than the 61 or 71 as it relates to HMI control. The ATV312 knobs primary function in menu navigation. Speed reference is secondary. The knob can be used as speed control by setting FR1 to AIV1, but to use the knob you must navigate to LFR parameter first (easily done by pressing knob 3 times) The display is shown as 0-100% only, not in Hz this way. In local mode, the knob is primarily speed control, and secondary menu navigation. The way the 312 was engineered, to use the knob for speed control without going to the LFR parameter, we have to put the drive into local mode (knob now works without going to LFR) and set the profile to separate and command via terminals. Hope this helps.
