Programming Chevy cruze 2012 remote key

my dealer told me to do it an easier way... start it with the original key & let it run for 30 seconds... take the old key out & restart with the new key, and leave it running for about 4-5 minutes... worked like a charm!! This way seems too confusing

@@exceldetail just get the key & follow what I wrote... It's exactly what the guy at the dealership told me to do when I got home since I didn't have the car with me when picking up the key. Your dealership is trying to rip you off

you don't have to have to keys for the guys thinking there screwed . start car with old fob. take it apart in ignition while running attach the new fob to the old.key in ignition then turn it off and put it right back in and start it . just dd it . it works

I have same question your post is very old did you sort out? I have original key 315mhz and replacement key is 433 MHz, it is now programmed to start only the car by this method but not locking or unlocking the car. 😔
