You can prepare for 1 hour, you can prepare 20 years ;p if you're asking about some warm-up before a contest, 20 seconds to cool down is enough

You probably want to learn data structures, they are very handy. After that you may want to focus just like Errichto said on solving problems. While doing so you will encounter the algorithms like Divide and Conquer, Backtracking, Quick sort and so on. You might also want to focus a little on the efficiency of each algorithm you do or you learn so that you might use the given data constraints in your favor, for example guessing what type of algorithm the optimal solution would be and see if you get an idea

could you please make a video on text editors and cmd/terminal? I use sublime and run the program on the sublime text itself(i have created a build system on sublime text editor).but if my program has a runtime error then the sublime text just gets irresponsive and i have to end task on task manager then reopen the sublime text which eats up a lot of my time during live contests and is also irritating in general. i have noticed that a;; the top coders use cmd. so could you make a guide on the same? also windows or linux ,which one is better? btw great work!! keep it up :)

I made a video on my geany setup. Windows is better for normal use, Linux for programming imo.
