I'll point out, again, that Eli's teaching us the stuff we won't ever learn from Codecademy or Dummies or any of the countless other places that pretend to teach programming. Those places will teach you a bunch of complicated syntax and specific procedures. You'll learn it, but still have no earthly idea how to bring your project to fruition when you're done. You'll wonder what the missing ingredient is and by the time you figure it out, you'll have long forgotten all the syntax and procedures and moved on to more gratifying pursuits. This stuff is gold. Thank you Eli!

No one programs like that in a professional setting. Just create the files so that they compile, and keep on adding functions calls to not yet defined functions / skeleton functions until it works.

I promise you people in the professional world most definitely do this. Give it a try some time, it really helps speed up your development time. Don't have to fiddle about trying to think exactly what a piece of code should do when you have it all laid out for you

I have a question but it's besides the whole point of this video but I wanted your help. So... recently I've bought a Dell Optiplex 390, i5 2400 and when I received it, I powered it on and it booted to this "Blancco Report Details" page. I googled what it was and I really didn't understand or know how to get around it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with a "OS" but I'm pretty sure the hard drive is infected (from what I think and not in no way, shape or form correct on) but because the previous owner, wiped the drive, and now I'm in a bottle of confusion on what to do.

Eli, one of the problems I encounter is returning to my code after a long absence and remembering nothing about it. I comment carefully, but it's only minimally helpful when I can't remember the overall architecture I initially put into place. It seems like pseudo-code could be put in my code editor first, then commented out as I build the actual code to process each step. The pseudo-code comments would then help me remember what's going on in each step, as well as the overall architecture of the entire project. Am I on the right track here? (I seriously have batch files that I wrote, but can't figure out how they work now. SMH) Maybe you could do a video just on commenting code. What to include, what not to, best practices for enterprises, etc.

Eli, I assume enterprises are using formal tools (like Visio?) to do wireframing and pseudo-code. Do you know what some of those tools are?
