In your localization document you have example "{firstname} {surname} is bored." with resulting sentence "Axe Hunter is bored." as an example of placeholder that does not need to be translated (i.e. without the @ sign). However note that in some languages even names change according to grammar - e.g. let's have "We hired Tom Hunter." sentence in English, and if you translate it into Czech language it should become "Najali jsme Toma Huntera." (note the "a" after "Tom" and "Hunter"). Or let's have "John Woods does not trust Tom Hunter." sentence and it should be translated as "John Woods nevěří Tomu Hunterovi." - note the addional "u" after Tom and "ovi" after "Hunter", as nouns (and others) are modified according to one of the 7 cases in which they can be present in a Czech sentence (plus according to its gender as in German).

I think the Counter offer system doesn't necessarily have to be it's own distinct option. When an offer comes in it could just set the value and a user can adjust the offer there. If they adjust it the "Accept" button changes to "Barter". The rest here is just my own personal take on how a price negotiation system could work: A company generates a range of prices they consider acceptable for a product. This information is for obvious reasons invisible to the player. Based on the player's reputation the initial price will be closer to the lower end of this price range, but higher reputation could start further up the accepted range. Once this initial offer is chosen the player gets an offer in the game. They can accept the offer immediately, or adjust the price. If the price is adjusted from the offer the "Accept" button changes to "Barter", clicking Barter will check whether the company accepts your offer. Your reputation and the acceptable range would then be taken into account when determining the change of a company accepting an offer beyond the initial offer. If the company accepts, the deal if good, if they decline they may adjust their offer slightly. Lower reputation will result in small shifts to the initial offer and greatly reduced chances of accepting offers above. For example with an initial offer of $100 a company may have a 90% chance of accepting an offer $10 per unit above initial offer, but if you tried to go $50 above initial offer ($150) and failed the bartering the company may increase their offer to $105 and now going $10 higher may have a 65% chance of being accepted. If you have better reputation, the amount the client may be willing to move their price may be slightly more, and you'll suffer a smaller decrease to your negotiation ability. In this case with the same example above, they may up the offer to $110 and you may have an 80% chance of them accepting $10 above that price. This system allows for a back and forth negotiation, but prevents abusing it (repeatedly offering very low to have them continually lower their price) by making each subsequent negotiation less likely. If you make them an offer they have < 60% chance of accepting, and they refuse it, they'll find it insulting and you'll lose the offer entirely. Again your reputation may be able to affect this minimum chance before a company walks away. Maybe with low reputation it's

You can trade saw dust. In the real world saw dust is sold for animal bedding and charcoal bricks. Wood chips would be good too. Wood chips are used for mulch. Saw mils have to be able to make money on everything they process to stay profitable. Also, having the player deal with saw dust or wood chips would add an interesting game mechanic.

Glad to see you made a robust localizer that can handle the different terms. When you only know english or german it might be a unknown concept that you need even more terms for different numbers, such as numbers that end with certain digits, such as 22,23,24 etc. that ends 2-4 in russian for example. I first learned about it via the mozilla document a few years ago. developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Localization/Localization_and_Plurals It´s generally a good resource if you want to learn about the challenges when translating.

Hey man, looks like the game is turning out really nice! I just wanted to bring a small problem to your attention, in case you didn't altready notice of course: stuff in the game view still gets highlighted even when the mouse is over the UI, that probably means that the mouse is not being "captured" properly and it could lead to possibile issues in the future, like clicking on something "through" the hud, aside from looking a bit jarring.
