2:06:00 This is in my opinion even cleaner: int mod3 = num % 3; int mod5 = num % 5; if (mod5 != 0 && mod3 != 0) { System.out.println(num); return; } if (mod5 == 0) { System.out.print("Fizz"); } if (mod3 == 0) { System.out.print("Buzz"); } // If it's not the end of the program, print a new line character In most cases, first condition is met and program finishes fast. Other two conditions can be both true so they print separately part of the word. It could get even more condensed, but that would sacrifice readability.

Mosh, thank you so much for giving an explanation for just about every word that you type, whether it be short and sweet to be elaborated upon at a later time, or an in depth explanation from the start. I get so tired of when teachers tell me to write a ton code only to say "Don't worry about this line of code, I'll explain later", or never explain it at all. It's so frustrating since the way I learn and conceptualize is by understanding why I'm typing something.

This is a fantastic tutorial! It's straightforward, It's descriptive, It's informative, and It's helpful! Before this, I'd always thought that java and basically any programing language required a university course to learn it properly. But after watching this I now know that literally anyone who has a laptop can do it! using this single turtorial I managed to build a currency converter calculator. The best part is this is all free! I’d failed Java once in college a few years ago, and I’ve been procrastinating getting started on my current Java project for my current degree program. You have taught me more in 45 minutes (so far, looking forward to finishing the video!) than I’ve been able to learn up to this point otherwise (my mind rails against reading a textbook, to my chagrin). Thank you so much for putting this together. What an absolutely wonderfully made tutorial!

I know this might sound weird but I learned java easily by solving math problems. I learned a lot about functions and different data structures by doing different math problems. But I know math isn’t for everyone so just find a problem you are interested in and try solving it using Java. That’s the best way to learn it imo.

2:21:11 While we iterate arrays from the end to the beginning here, an exception will occur Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 3 out of bounds for length 3 This is because array indices in Java are zero-based, meaning they start at 0 and go up to length - 1. In the given loop, we're starting from fruits.length, which is out of bounds for our array. So it can be corrected as: for(int i = fruits.length - 1; i >= 0; i--)

Thanks for this course. I fell asleep several times while watching, but persistently tried to look further and understand. At the end of the course, I could not say that I did not understand something. But at the same time, I still did not understand how this information can help me to do programming. Mosh said that it is not necessary to immediately memorize all these commands that he demonstrates. Well, I didn't remember, and I don't understand what to do next. I don't seem to be a fool. I myself have been an ITguy for many years. But apparently the programming is not mine. I kept expecting some kind of catharsis, but thinking about programming I feel like I am in outer space, where each star is your working tool. It seems to me that a programming course for beginners should include not only an abundance of commands (which no one will remember), but a way to understand what this toolkit is all about. If you are an painter, your tools are brushes and paints. If you are a musician, your tool is a musical instrument, with not that many strings, keys, or valves. What is a programmer's toolkit? A million commands and a million combinations of them? What should I understand (learn?) to be able to write my own programs? But, maybe, I'm a fool after all. Sadness and sorrow.

After your project is ready, just right click the "src" folder in the sidebar and select "New">"Package". After that just drag and drop the Main.java file into that new package folder and IDEA will ask to refactor(just say yes or ok). After that your files should look and act like Mosh's.
