Something I found shocking is that there is already a Steam page for Progress Orders in English, at that. I'm from Seattle, Washington and I was not expecting that page until at least June 2025 due to localization taking time. But with the fact that the there were English screenshots and the date listed as 4/9/25 (Progress Orders releases 4/10/25 in Japan due to the time zone differences), is making me suspect that they were already preparing to do a simultaneous release in at least Japanese, English and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese, based on what was listed on the Steam page, and only just recently did the Steam page go live.

Is it also produced by marvelous & xseed? Gosh, they release a lot of games per year and the games they produce are good, according to the market and according to the wishes of the community. Every time I buy 1 or 2 of their games the next month they announce a new game and not in a bad way because I'm happy about it lol.

Bushiroad/Hakama is a subsidiary of (the Japanese company) Marvelous that was founded by people who worked on Rune Factory games, so Marvelous may have some minor involvement. Xseed did not translate/publish their last game though, so Xseed probably won't have anything to do with it.

@@elithegaymer Yep, but Bushiroad and Marvelous are separate entities. Bushiroad is not a subsidiary of Marvelous. However, Hakama, which is indeed a subsidiary of Marvelous, was founded by former developers of the Rune Factory series. Because of that, as for Xseed, it's true that they did not handle the translation/publishing of the last game like RearSekai, so their involvement in this game remains uncertain.

I know game world roads are small for the sake of convenience, yet those roads would be a nightmare to navigate when there are more than 4 people on the same road.

oh... so i am assuming you can romance or not? because if this is trying to improve from the previous game he released than thats nice and all but it just feels like a conpletely different franchise that he is creating that doesn't feel like the creator of rune factory touched it rather the makers of etrian oddyssey did which... from what i am seeing in the combat makes it heavily implied to be like that which is disappointing as hell. Another thing if there is romance or starting a relationship with the members than it would have been nice if you could be a girl not just stuck being a guy, however if romance is not a thing.. still i would have loved to choose my character not be stuck with a silent male protaganist that makes it look like you could have chosen your own creative character; like lets say if he was the main obvious protaganist than the story should make it clear not just being titled guild master and the lady talking in third person towards you as if your just a creative character not thee main character.. i dont know it just didn't sound right at all. Thats my main criticism here with the game, i am going based off the videos english translation by the way. I am hoping for an english release and it does not stay in japan exclusively if the game is good of course cause so far i am very skeptical about this entire change.. it feels off for me 😅 sorry but when a creator of a well known franchise makes a different ip you expect it to have their touch in it like you know its them that touched it just like the game before he made this one that did not do well the dungeon crawling one. That litereally oozed that it was him who made it but this one feels far off the scope and too different..

Don't care, I love being human. There is no lack of games nowadays. I much prefer a game is set on what it want to do instead of doing everything but sucks. In this case I always wanted to be Isekai hero with waifus

I don't care what story you are trying to write, villainizing every living creature except humans is never something you should feel neccessary to your plot. Also, there really aren't that many games with actual races. The best you can hope for is a token non-human, and you usually have to fight them before they join.

There are anime games that let you play the opposing side to human. Radiata Stories (PS2), you can pick human or non human path, actually fight human because they are bad. Akiba's Trip 1 (psp/pc), you can side with the vampires. SMTIV, chaos path makes you destroy the human kingdom. Or the latest Metaphor Re:Fantazio where the main characters are not human, fighting monsters called "human". This game is just not it. For someone with "gamer" in their name, you sure don't play a lot of games.
