As impressed with the Leopard, there is just no chance that it beats the Israeli Merkava. At least not today. And don't get me wrong, the Leo is an extremely impressive machine. But it doesn't beat the American Abrams that second only to the Israeli Merkava. Those are battlefield facts. recycled gas from the cylinders is not forced back into the cylinders.... its uses the hot gas to drive a compressor to compress the new gas coming in, but in order to be efficient and gain reliable power you must cool that air with an intercooler, remember compressing a gas also heats it up

The M1A1 Abrahams does not have a jet engine - it has a 1500 hp purpose-designed gas turbine, designed and developed by Avco-Lycoming. It uses a recuperator to improve efficiency and muffle the exhaust. The gun and its aiming/targeting system are the best in the world. Please check your facts.
