I was just there on Sept 26, 2017 and Chris Hobson was my instructor cool guys awesome instructor. Thanks to him I got hooked after my 1st time. I flew 4 times and did 3 high flies with him. Came the following week, and showed him I actually watched the basic belly maneuvers videos he recommended I watch. He pretty much let me fly alone to include entry into the tunnel. Loved flying above his head and going back down. I even smacked the wall pretty hard while I was turning to the right. LOL he rushed in to see if I was ok, I just pushed away from the wall turning left and then going right back up above him again. Then up up and away we went for 4 high flies. Thanks man every time I visit family you'll see me. The week of 4th of July I'm on vacation for 2 weeks and you bet your arse I'll be visiting IFly a few times this time for 10minutes of flight time.

Projected cost, about 800 to 1000 dollars an hour (for solo). To be able to be stable doing head down you're looking at 10 hours (sometimes more, depends on how fast people learn).
@brwnidgrl735 жыл бұрын
Fly Beep no it cost 347 for 10 people ive done it
@SkydivingTunnelGod2 жыл бұрын
@@brwnidgrl73 That's for a few minutes where you'll learn nothing and its no more than a ride. Takes around 30-40 minutes to get signed off on belly flying solo with some people taking longer. On average most people get signed off on their back after another 60-90 minutes but a big portion can take more than 2 hours because transitions can be quite tricky for some. Sit flying can take anywhere from 2 hours for people who learn quick to 5+ hours. Head down flying alone I've seen some people spend 2 hours on the net and not come off of it yet and this is the hardest skill to estimate average time it takes people because to be proficiently signed off along with transitions takes an extraordinary amount of time. Also all of what I said doesn't include the dynamic dive pool which if you think static flying takes a long time then you'll be flabbergasted at the years of practice people put in for head up and head down carving. I'm talking people with 100+ hours of flying to get all sign offs on the IBA.
@amritfactorrrrrrr Жыл бұрын
@@SkydivingTunnelGod Yeah took me 70 minutes of belly flying to get signed off - was ready for back flying at the end of that. Honestly I feel like part of their system is a bit of a money grab...coaches do get paid by the minute, at times I felt like my coach was just repeating the same thing over again when I was already proficient in certain aspects. Cost a lot just for that 70 minutes.

Well think of it this way. If a jump from 10,000 feet costs $30 (not including gear rental) and you only have 30 seconds of freefall that would equal $60 a minute vs $10 a minute in the tunnel. @@SineEyed

@saellenx35282 жыл бұрын
Yes it is definitely a rip off or Sport for rich people. For example i can get full AFF Skydive licence here in Germany for only 2700€. That includes around 20 jumps over many Weeks+ lifetime cheap Skydive ticket at School where you got your licence. On the other hand 10 minutes of School for Bodyflying costs around 200€ and 20 minutes around 400€. I highly doubt you can learn anything in that time. From what i have gathered there are 4 positions you need to master and three of them take on average 10 hours to master with head down position taking up to 20 hours. Lets not even speak about how you will also have to learn how to switch between them in order to do cool moves which will take also at least 10 hours. So in order to learn this you are looking at the price of a new car. Btw 2 minutes of Bodyflying costs around 60€ here and 1 Skydive jump without videos or pictures around 79€.😂 Skydive freefall last around 1 minute with 10 to 15 additional minutes to get down where you ejoy nice view. Speaks for itself.

I’ll tell you something funny. Those guys who design virtual reality goggles, are creating a big problem. Those goggles are so good that nobody will want to go to Six Flags or Disney anymore. You can have just as much fun at home. I’ve used the VR system, and it’s almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
@serkanbaran75284 жыл бұрын
VR will never replace the real thing, because it doesnt involve true fear and actually being there since you are merely looking at a screen, which is kinda sad.

I've always wanted to do this, but was 350 pounds until the beginning of 2016. I'm now just under 200 pounds and will be flying in just a couple weeks. I'm working on losing more weight and strengthening certain muscles in order to prepare for this. I'm way under the weight limit, but I feel even losing 5-10 more pounds before my flight date will further help with control.
