"Anyone brings up lawn care, I will handle it". DYING! I actually switched to Progressive in part due to Dr Rick! The ads are hilarious! Rates ended up being better! No ad has EVER inspired me to research the product. Matter of fact, its just the opposite! I would go out of my way to NOT endorse the product due to my hatred for commercials! But when it comes to Dr Rick, all bets are off!

Over a 45 year period I probably wrote thousands of local radio spots. Given the huge amount of spots that Progressive airs across all various platforms some are going to be award winners and some are going to be "meh". Based on comments here I see most people like Dr. Rick. Personally I cannot stand him and this whole spot line. I just cringe every single time i see him come on.

Progressive is trash. Had a broken window progressive will forward you to satellite and they on replace the glass, so I had to get the window tinted and clean up the broken glass and drive around with a broken window until my appointment which was 4 days out. I had the same issue before with Geico, and they sent me to a body shop, gave me a rental, and took care of the custom tint.

Yeah I noticed that too. I get the deadpan humor, but the concept of trying to rid yourself of parental influence is not that appealing to me. One or two videos of it ok, whatever but parents are fun and quirky and wouldn’t want to change that and become robotic non emotional things.

Hello: I have a warped sense of humor. I find almost everything funny. Except these ads. These commercials trigger me big time. I find them highly offensive. I have to keep in mind the premise is, that these people sought "Dr. Rick's" counsel. This line of ads is condescending. And I have to say, as a grown adult, if someone told me to "take it off (the apron) or I will take it off", he would be declaring war, and find that apron shoved somewhere on his person, extremely uncomfortable.
