The 12-minute version on here is slightly better for whatever reason. Trying to isolate what it is, I think it's either a lack of Shaker or a different mastering process

Nope, this Re-dub version from 2009 was free download on Danny Howells soundcloud and it's not released on vinyl. And the version you have on vinyl (from 2003) is also uploaded on channel 😉
