This video has made me such a better player on the field. I watch it the day before or an hour before my match and now I'm naturally starting to ease into my role as a cam. I will say one thing learn the skill of anticipation!! and be one/two steps ahead.

Very helpful! Just what I need, I've been averaging 2 goals per game and about 1 assist as well. I think I've got it down, but this covers it very well! THANKS!

i want to switch my game up, ive been playing as a hold up CF style player but my passing game is wasted too high up the field, so sitting deeper would be a good fit for me. i have no problems finding pockets and judging runs its just the getting back defending aspect. not used to it yet haha :D thanks

Hey, Dylan! Thanks for the video. It was very informative. But, I have a question. When I make that forward run, isn't it going to leave my defensive midfielder alone having to face all the midfielders from the other team himself? That won't be a good scenario for my team. I know I have to make that run into space, but what if the other team plays a 3-5-2 and then my CDM is left alone in a 1vs3 scenario? Thanks.

Thats my problem on the field my teammates expect me on a 442 formation to be a attacking player but also a defensive player.
@yashmane138 жыл бұрын
Just Faisal uh, he's right. You're not supposed to have an offensive and defensive on a 4-4-2. If it's a 4-5-1, or a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 then yeah

Worked a lot for me. I got an assist in our game last week. Sadly we tied 2-2 against the best team in the league. But still. Felt good to contribute. Let's see if i can replicate it today (Shoulda won that game though)

Hi, I play attacking mifield, whenever I get passed the ball, I receive and keep the ball and connect passes 85% of the time, but 75% of my passes are backwards and not getting us up the field. My coach doesn't want me to do that but check my shoulder and play forward more often. Any tips on how to play forward, or how to find space so there is not always a man on my back?

Hi, I play 4-5-1. As a CAM how am I supposed to play with my other center midfielders? We either bunch up or we play to our forward, but he's one on two and we can't get any shots on goal. Please help!

+Darryn Pants Drift wide to create overloads on the wings, or try to occupy one of the center backs by your self.

Hey Dylan , the biggest problem for me is knowing if there's pressure behind me and deciding if I should play back or turn, I know its important to check your shoulder but sometimes when I watch games and midfielder analysis videos I don't even see them check their shoulder but they know what's going on behind them, how? Please answer
@riqui54069 жыл бұрын
+EstupedMexicanz Maybe you are not moving enough. As an attacking mid you have ultimate freedom in the final third. Always look for space and constantly look around you, even when the ball is at the other side of the pitch. Play either side of the defensive midfielder that's marking you, either you will find space or either you will drag him out of postion and create space for others. The key is pass and move! Basically you should not only check your shoulder when recieving a pass, but all the time, then you will know where other players are. Also, as an attacking midfielder, try to find weaknesses in the other team. For example if a full back is weak, double up on him with your winger. If they only have one defensive mid there might be space on either side of him. Or maybe the other team aren't compact and you can find space between the lines. Good luck!

EstupedMexicanz You should get coached by your teamates when they play you the ball.

Thom Theunissen see that's the problem I know teammates yell man on and what not but when you're playing with people who don't communicate well its difficult i want to be able to know when to turn without the help of a teammate

thanks for the video :) good stuff, but a little advice i disagree with your comment "play more position and be more versatile." any success is specialised & you need to play with your strengths. find what you're good at & become WORLD CLASS at that. Lionel messi can't play defence. Countinho doesn't play striker

***** I agree. Last time I watched Xavi, it helped me out so much!! It was unbelievable how helpful he was even if he is not a center attacking midfielder. He is never afraid to ask for the ball, he has nice control of the ball and he always know what to do with the ball before he receives it. I love to play the attacking midfielder but Xavi is a good teacher for both defensive and attacking midfielder. I am still working on knowing my next move before the ball comes to me. That skill can go away if you do not internalize it. Nonetheless, if I could meet Xavi, I would shake his hand and said: "Thanks for being such a good teacher!"

+Ian Ng He made a video on Pirlo, watch it it's very good. But otherwise just watch Pirlo comps, you'll learn so much. I improved so much as a ball playing defensive mid. simply by watching Pirlo!

I don't think you'll ever stand a chance to lose the ball 101 times. The most probably thing is the couch calling you out after losing your second one or even the first one if you compromise your team badly
