Pro tip for fighting as Rakan: Keep in mind his E has 2 charges, and not only covers a decent distance; it goes over terrain. Each cast also applies a shield that does not stack; so quickly double casting is inefficient. My most prominent combo is E, W, Q, E. You can thread your R in there before the last E as well, but in general: Your first E charge and W allow you to cover insane distance and enter a fight immediately. The second E charge is your getaway once you need it. Be sure to try and land your Q before retreating though. The heal will add up with your E shield and help your ally that much more. Lastly: This combo is best suited for when you are not already nearby your ally. This means it's mostly for Supports who already know how to roam and help out more than just Bot lane. Noobs beware!

I personally dislike Rakan because of how weak his utility is. I always find myself shielding my partner for about 54 health and healing for about 43. He's just not very useful and since keeping him in place counters him hard, he won’t be able tank anything since he will only end up feeding. If healing and shielding is really what you want, you should probably play Janna instead as she provides a massive amount of utility compared to Rakan and can block gap closers with her r.
