Been a Sova since episode 1 act 1, and I've climbed up from bronze to plat with him. Sure, it was hard, and I thought lineups were important, hell I learned lineups for every map. After a while, though, I forgot all except the most essential ones and I instead learned the physics of the darts to use them on the fly.

Yess I’m tired of everyone thinking you need to know every single lineup on every map as sova. The amount of versatility you can have just knowing the physics and playing around with them is amazing.

yup. in my case in 2020 i was a hardstuck bronze smoker main. then I discovered 2 legends named Hiko and sinatraa. 2 pro sovas that made me main sova. so yes i searched up lineups too and even got lineups from sinatraa himself on his videos. and here, 2 years later im diamond baby. i know that bronze to diamond for 2 years is a pretty long grind but im a student and i only play this game for like 4 hrs maximum a day. so i think thats good enough and im proud of me

Sova and Jett are those agents who will always be meta unless their kits are nerfed entirely like taking dash away from Jett or drone from Sova, their kits are best in their class and will be op in comparison to other even if they get price nerf.

You know, something about Sova, no one really complains about him, or at least I have not seen anyone does, unlike the strong agents we complained about like Jett and Astra and Viper with her postplant mollies from a mile, Sova is very strong but at the same time doesn't really seem annoying or unbalanced, tell me what do you think (I am a Cypher and Chamber mains, not Sova)

I think that Sova is pretty balanced. The recon bolt can be shot, his ult can be dodged easily, and his drone and shock darts aren’t to op I play Sova a bit and I think he’s a pretty balanced agent

i am a sova and Raze main , and i want to say that Sova is much more difficult to play in terms of map awarness. and in general team play , it requires serious brain play ,been using Sova since 4 months but still s0 much to learn always.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise it doesn't scan through walls lol. I feel embarrassed now looking back at all the times I shot recon dart into an area with no line of sight on enemies without realising it wasn't going to work 😂

Super late but hey maybe you see this and gain something from it. Valorant is really unique in that if you shoot a wall, box, or anything for that matter you can gain a lot of info. If you look at the bullet holes, penetrating walls will leave behind a mark with a very obvious dark hole in the center of it; whereas impenetrable terrain will leave a mark with no hole that looks more like a dent. Shoot around in a custom game or when in doubt just try to wallbang and you'll find that a surprising amount of terrain is penetrable!

This was super helpful. I’m a lifelong console player who sucks on MNK so I constantly shoot circles and cannot be trusted to win gunfights. I just started playing Val a few days ago and I’ve only played Sova but barely understand what I’m doing or should be doing. Question of the day: Yes. I'm pretty sure he will, at some point, get changed to make him give more info but deal less damage, by changing his shock dart to a short AOE dart that would ping like the drone, or something similar
