His pickups are doyle coils,in the shop Les Paul. he uses vintage dimarzios with is personal Lps that have humbuckers. Those have ceramic magnets,which helps because he has rarely if ever used a pick.

That Pedal Show really are time wasters.PGS do it professionally, no idle banter, week jokes, repetitve guitar noodling, and long pauses, just because they want " to go in depth and take you on a journey".huh? Don't they realise we dont have TIME for that.It's like watching British reality tv.. dont fluff around get to the point!

Actually I think Back in Black was a good choice. I think that his pickups in his les paul might just be a bit too low output for that song.

I could never get an OD pedal to make a Fender Deluxe Reverb do that. Back in Black was the best choice for guys that want that kind of sound/OD coming out of their otherwise clean Fender Amp, instead of the 'buzzbee in a bottle" sound IMHO. Fenders don't compliment a lot of OD pedals.
