I just wanted to say thanks for posting all these great vids. Definitely been an inspiration to help me keep my own restoration and rebuild going

You have a knack for posting videos right as I’m about to tackle the exact same project on my ‘76. Great video, should be a huge help!

Awesome... The bracket is a perfect fit. It sounds like some people have a good fit with the bushings, so it may be pretty straight forward for you.

Make sure those teeth line up with the slots and fit snug for that alternator tensioner.. wouldn't want any tension issues. That throaty sound of the m10...❤ it!!

Yup, actually just went and double checked... Had the car out a few times now and everything is nice and tight.

You've got her sounding real good. I got that bracket too, and the bushings....surprised they didn't just press right in. As always, great video.

Thanks! I wonder if there are a few different alternator casings, or maybe mine is a misfit. I've heard from others that were able to just pop them in, too.

Woot! I can't wait to get it to really rev some day.

Sweet! Just checked for that bracket as well. Superhandy if you have to tighten the belt yourself.

For sure... If I had done the job from the alternator side it would have take just a moment to do. It's a really nice bracket.

First I want to thank you for such a helpful, thoughtful and well produced series, especially since I'm embarking on a similar e10 journey. Is there a way to get in touch for advice and with questions?

Working on a concrete floor ... the job goes a little sideways ... It's like looking in a mirror. It's all worth it for the sound of those carbs, Man. Keep up the good work! I don't suppose you're coming to The Vintage?

Oh man, I'd love to come. Maybe over the next couple of years, but I can't even get across the border at the moment... Bit f a haul for me, but it'd be a great roadtrip!

What radiator are you running? It seems to have a nice looking rounded end on the top tank that some of the others don't have. Thanks

It's a Champion Cooling Systems rad... It's a good unit an cost effective. I had some trouble on my car but the general consensus is that they drop in. More details here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJvOc2Cal9Oalac

Wonder if it’s worth spending an extra 14 thousand and getting a 1972 2002 car that’s been restored from suspension, engine , drive train and interior versus getting a 1968 1600 that is bone stock. Just wondering if it’s cheaper by spending the extra cash up froo
@spuriouspseudo3 жыл бұрын
I would ask what you're looking for, a complete car or a build experience. If you want a driver, grab the '72. The '68 being a 1600 will be lighter, if it's unmolested could appreciate more over the years as a 1600 as I think that they'll become hard to find... Do you see yourself wrenching more or do you imagine mainly driving?

@@spuriouspseudo I want to tinker with it every other month , lowering it add some wheels try to spice up the engine. See if I can make it a tad faster, wonder if people put the tii engine in the 1600
