For me two clicks top and bottom on both shocks is the best for me ! I ride solo and weigh 210 ! Great video Mike !

I will try to do more videos on the Scout. Possibly a video on installing the front / rear wheels properly? Maybe a belt tensioning video per the manual? We'll see! Thanks for watching! Mike

Glad your back to the Scout. Been watching your channel for a while and I love what you have done with the bike. Also I have found your videos to be very informative. Keep up the good work!

Hi Mike, I nearly always use an extension bar on sockets as I like to keep my hands well clear of hard bits. Don't like wasting time cursing and bleeding. 😉

hi, does it improve the ground clearance?
@jeffreykurtz78436 ай бұрын
It only has four clicks and I think the starting point is one ! And it says on line top and bottom need to be set the same !

Nice easy upgrade for your biking pleasure :) My wife's previous car registration started with BJ as well, guess what sort of job we called the car.

I am hoping the new shock keeps my lower back from getting wrecked from our crap roads here in Detroit. Thanks for watching! Mike

Did you notice a significant improvement with the new adjustable shocks?
@RenchRanch4 ай бұрын
Yes, before I would get launched out of my seat when my Scout would hit large bumps as the original shock would just lock up. These I can adjust how quick or easily they compress and how they rebound. I fine tuned mine to soften the ride a bit. I am sure others would tune it for better performance when cornering. I also upgraded to Michelin Commander III tires which also made a huge improvement. In the end, it's still a Scout. I love how it rides and handles but it will never be as nice as a Chieftain or Challenger (or other larger Indian). Thanks for watching. Much appreciated. Mike

Eyelets are not the same distance - Scout is 12” and Bobber/Rogue is 11”. The piggybacks are 11.5” and the Fox Indian shocks are 12”. Also, FYI, the piggybacks are not Fox. They are manufactured in house by Indian.

Shouldn't double click the torque wrench.

The upgrade from early to late Scout shocks is like going from horrible to just terrible.

The settings are just a starting point. Ride the bike and try changing the settings to see what fits you the best.

We'll see once the Michelin's get installed this coming week. I can't wait. Will be nice to ride the Scout and not get back pain from the Detroit crap roads. Thanks for watching! Cheers!

I have a 2022 Scout Rogue 69ci ABS and the stock shocks are just as horrible…

Please don't recommend anyone go from 2016 stock shocks to 2018 stock shocks. I tried this and it was so much worse! I am throwing in the towel of trying to make things better on a budget and am going with a set of fox shocks at 1k cost! I paid close to $200 for the 2018 stock shocks and it was a total waste of money.
