Not really, he’s making the point that an executive order to “set the vibe” is not very actionable. To have “Environmental Justice” for example you would need corporations to stop dumping chemical waste on poor people. If Biden makes an executive order that he is committed to Environmental Justice but that order is not specifically directing Federal agencies like the EPA to take specific and direct actions, it’s a PR piece. I’m assuming you aren’t going to take the time to read what the orders say anyway, but feelings are not a substitute for rule making, issuing fines, filing lawsuits, etc.

Independent agencies were created by Congress to aide the executive branch in carrying out the statutes created by Congress. Any major changes to the agency’s function and direction should come from Congress. Congress needs to start doing their damn job, learn to compromise and GSD. The executive has become to powerful and the Judiciary is ramping up its power. The Legislative branch was always intended to be the most powerful, but gerrymandering has caused extremism and punishment for comprise.

The ancient Greek city-states were ruled by kings who led by divine rite on behalf of a guild or cult. Each of them would have had trade routes and estates or some niche they fulfilled like the Spartans. Today the governor is elected, but he fits in that same place in the greater hierarchy. Ultimately I think governments are going to react to the demands of the day as need be. And we should try to avoid setting precedent which can be abused by the opposition. But the most important thing is knowing who they work for. You can't just let foreign governments buy up the media to bully your opposition to your own detriment. That's your responsibility, your place in society. You represent that product, those people, and we identify with them, etc. If the Senate represents companies, we know that trade relations are in responsible hands. Democracy protects the rights of the minority by universal application of majority rule. Killing a bunch of workers so you don't have to pay them isn't capitalism if you take it seriously. If you're a stayer. It's not just whatever the bankers want. It has to convert into dollars. In colonial times you knew exactly who the governor worked for.
