There is nothing I love more about Japanese culture , than their ability to seamlessly mix modest practicality with beauty.

I love this stunning piece of modern minimalist Japanese garden! How called the plant on 7:11? Is it a Farfugium japonicum?

Is Oya stone a kind of Tuff (rock made of volcanic ash) ?

De hecho no me gusto, es un gran trabajo tecnico pero unas plantas altas o florales hubiesen hecho ese lugar más feliz, supongo que era un lugar par la bicicleta del arquitecto. Menos siempre es menos. Less is always less. In fact I didn't like it, it's a great technical job but some tall plants or flowers would have made that place happier, I guess it was a place for the architect's bicycle.

Great work! Can I ask what kind of mix ratio do you use to set the stones on? Thanks!
@JapaneseGardenTV4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Basically, it might be about 3:1 sand and cement.

A minimalist garden. At first I dont understand why putting stones instead of lot of plants until you put your bicycle. NICE!

Great small space. Why you didn`t hide gas meter with nice wooden or metal box ?
@JapaneseGardenTV4 жыл бұрын
I asked the gardener, Sano-san, about it. He said he sees the gas meter, and others as elements of the garden, and simply uses it as a component or material.
This is the first project on your channel that I feel I don't understand. The plants used were so small they seemed insignificant and it seems like careless pedestrians would walk over them. Why not make it only a rock garden since it is such a harsh environment? It is interesting that such a small space should provoke so much thought in viewers.
