If (I wouldn’t) you want a lockout use the DriveLine slingshot style which will fit under your stock clutch cover. You just need to file 3 nubs. I run the DD style lockup and would go s different route if I could do it again
@MichaelSabo6 жыл бұрын
Do you not like the way it shifts?
@hotsloppy6 жыл бұрын
You can’t ride the clutch like you do when trail riding, or doing technical which is a big disadvantage. They’re great for drag racing running wide open. Also, unless your legitimately over 85 hp you won’t need it. Some baskets like mattoon can hold a 8-9 plate clutch and some clutch kits ( titans or redlines) can hold more than the average kit. If I could do it again I would run a Magura hydraulic clutch and no lock up. Another thing about lockup’s is the pull is inscreased and DD finger style sticks out pretty far. I prefer the slingshot to the finger style that I run. I would avoid the lockup and buy a Magura H lever!
@stevencarter32906 жыл бұрын
Looking good man! As far as the lockup clutch, look into a sling shot lockup. It fits under a stock cover. I’ll shoot you some pics on IG.

Ill be following the air strikers tuning.i have read they are near impossible to tune.compared to non airstrike. I personally think they have the wrong cutaway and because the run more low throttle velosity they pull to much fuel and run to rich . I tried to tune 33 pwk a/s and had that problem.

Bought to order me a brand new Keihin from BP going genuine of course never skimp on pistons cranks clutches or carbs! I gave you a referral in my email to them dude. Hopefully they kick me a slight discount? Worth a shot. As always great video. Not terribly pleased with your “repair” of the leak, I’d have tore it back down and resealed the cases myself especially if you’re waiting on money and parts. Just my $.02 you do you booboo lol.
@MichaelSabo6 жыл бұрын
Lmao 😂 yea I hear you man, I really think the cases will be fine though. I can't see how sealing it in between the cases by the stud or by the bolt will really make a difference. If i had used the OEM nuts on the bottom originally, I would have never had the leak in the first place and would have never known there was a spot I missed.
@buckeyebanshee6 жыл бұрын
Michael Sabo you have a point there and the other thing I forgot about is if you split them again and reseal every time I’ve done that I’ve chased another leak. What you did should be fine.

Only 5th scale same here, should have just used a liberal amount of yama-bond, it’s what the manufacturer made for this specific purpose, so why should I not use it?
@2_be_determined6 жыл бұрын
@@djmystery7235 I think you should, use what makes you feel confident when building your engine bud.
@MichaelSabo6 жыл бұрын
I dont see why sealing the motor between the cases by the stud, or by the bolt at the bottom of the stud will make a difference. It didn't leak even without the Yamabond, I just added it in case. It will hold fine.
@2_be_determined6 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelSabo sorry but it janky af, Yamaha hopefully wouldn't sell a banshee built like that, let alone a custom built stroker. No worries bud I'm subbed and liked it's your bike so no hard feelings. If anything it's a great learning experience for everyone here. Cheers.
