Hey buddy, loving the videos so far, keep up the great work! Love you innovative style! The motivation your giving me is priceless! Just about to restore our mk1 vtr and also I'm starting a s1600 build. What forums and groups are you using?

Thanks mate. I'm fortunate, I was well known in Saxo circles back in the day so had a lot of contacts still. So much easier now with web ordering and more info available on the net.

Good work so far, bit of advise, please buy a proper mask for when you are using your grinder etc for rust removal. The ones you are using offer little to no protection. All the best, cheers.

Why not clean up the original heat sheild and then put the gold tape onto that? It's what I would do as it leaves the small gap between the heat sheild and tank which is and extra insulation.
