I made this video to document the transformation of my 6th Gen Toyota Celica GT.
Some OEM parts are very difficult to find, because of the age of the car. Luckily, there are plenty of aftermarket parts that I have found along the way.
List of things I want to repair/replace/swap out:
Stereo system - Head unit, all speakers (including the tweeters), and AMP. Swapping out the single din Kenwood stereo to a double din Kenwood with Android Auto/Apple Car Play. It currently has Kenwood speakers in both doors and Alpine speakers in the rear and stock tweeters.... which I'll be replacing with Kenwood speakers and tweeters all around. It has an OEM amp, and I will be replacing it with a Kenwood AMP. All this has been ordered and received -- and is currently sitting in the garage waiting for install.
Window moldings on both doors - I found and ordered them on eBay for $80.
Hoses - Swapping out the old OEM hoses and replacing them with silicone hoses.
Radiator - OEM out and new Mishimoto in. (Future swap out.)
Passenger side High Beam lamp - The glass has a small hole in the middle. I found a complete set of headlights and taillights in Oroville a few years ago and they've been sitting in the garage for a few years now. Replaced the taillights a few months ago, the old ones had moisture in them, so out they went. I'll reseal them and probably sell them.
Bodywork/Paint - I think this will be the most difficult and time consuming.
Wheels/Tires - It currently has stock rims and a set of cheap off-brand tires. Don't know what I'm replacing the rims with, but I have a good idea on the tires.
Suspension - I had the stock shocks and struts replaced quite a few years ago with KYB shocks and struts. Those will probably need to be replaced soon. New coil overs will be going in... just haven't decided on which brand. Comment below to let me know what you have on your car and how you like the suspension. (Future swap out.)
I'm going to do all this work myself. Thank the Big Dude upstairs for giving KZbin content creators the creativity to post "How-to" videos that are easy to follow.
