I just noticed Doug D did a thing on his channel. Now I'm getting all these 944 videos in my feed.

That is the exact car I used to drive in 1986. Same color, rims, etc. lifelong 944 fan. Awesome 👍👍

I had the same problem with the rear black rubber trim but I found a repair kit for the screws. It’s a new set of screws that you can slide in the rubber slot. Very easy to install and safes you the money for a whole new part. Repainted my car just earlier this year as well. So it’s awesome to see you going on the same journey.

Very cool! Nice break down, I also have a 1983 944 and unfortunately it had a respray(original color still) but they didn't take the time to tear it all down, I have future plans to give it the proper respray it deserves.

Looking good. I like it all. It may have been a good idea to have tied a string to the hatch cabling to make it easier to pull back through. I'm doing the same project less, much less professionally, and I was wonderings about how to do some of the things you show in this video.

A little trick if your pulling out cables like in the rear hatch and need to put them back later, fix some string to the end of the cable before pulling it out and then leave the string there until you put the cables back, then you fix the string back to the cables and pull them back through where they go

Loving the music and the videos! I'm currently restoring my 84 944. I've got a quick question about hood emblem removal. Did it just pry out? On the later models the front clip is removable and has little retaining nuts. On the early cars I wasn't able to find any information. Thanks!
@frax772 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 The front emblem is basically just pushed in to two plastic sleeves that are fitted in to two holes on the front clip. A pry tool and some gentle persuasion got mine out. Just be aware that the rubber seal between the badge and the clip will likely get damaged, but can be found online quite cheaply.

@@frax77 oh yeah I have a new emblem and seal ready to go when the time comes. Was just curious on the removal of the emblem itself! Thank you!

the ONLY thing we do not like is that you are pronouncing it poorsh... its porsche... with an AH sound at the end.
