Being in virtual reality is interesting and fun because it's something different than your reality and you can do things there that you couldn't do in real life.

As someone who is 32, I gotta say. I grew up in the "real world" as you out it too. That hasn't deminished my love of the digital though, and I sympathize with those who prefer digital interactions. I think Kaiyaba was an artist, and like all of us artists, his greatest desire was to make his world as life-like as possible for others to enjoy. Maybe this is just something other artists can understand, I don't know.

Trust me Suzy, I've read the Light Novel for SAO and the anime adaption for the Alicization Arc only covers 10% of what happens in the Light Novel

That was who makes someone become a FOUNDER, obsessed with something. CAR, LIGHT, PLANE, PHONE, WEAPON, ROBOT etc that we have now is from them.

Also side note. I remember last episode you mentioned people saying "The next episodes are boring" Its likely because they are hungry for death and destruction over story progression and world building. Just ignore them and watch to your hearts content. Because alicization as a whole is a good season. Atleast in my eyes.

There gotta be some reasons for the people that would rather to live a fake life if that means it would be better than their original one, I used to be one of those who didn't wanted to know anything anymore about the real word and I just got obsessed with videogames and virtual relation ships but that was 'cause I was passing trough hard social sittuations that in the virtual side I didn't have. By this time, it's still hard to me to confront the real world, mostly 'cause I went like 8 years ignoring the real life, but, I'm doing my best to re-integrate to myself. I hope this can give you an idea about why people sometimes does prefers those things more than the real ones.
