Next part - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJi8faGcmtWVodk E3M1 The Temple of The Antichrist - 00:00 E3M2 The Caverns of The Damned - 10:50 E3M3 The Unholy Crematorium - 23:30 E3M4 The House Of Torment - 36:15 E3M5 The Palace of Satan - 50:50 Circles of Hell by Chief Smokey is a remake of the third episode of The Ultimate Doom called Inferno, and this is by far in my opinion the most difficult of these 3 remakes by him, difficulty speaks for itself. There are 9 levels for you to complete (8 basic + 1 secret as always) but because it uses a DOOM 2 IWAD, you will encounter all of the monsters from the roster such as Revenants, Mancubi, Pain Elementals or annoying ArchViles. Because of how large and complex are the maps (10 to 15 minutes) I decided to split the video in two, the first half of the video already takes more than an hour, so imagine how large would be a file with whole episode at once. I mentioned early how difficult this WAD is, well it speaks for itself that most of the maps love to troll you because you already in the Hell itself, practically you should watch for yourself almost every step, trust me. Lots of the ceiling around the maps can crush you instantly without a chance to run away (yes, you should be aware of it), lots of cells are hidden pillars that move down when you step on them, trapping you in lava, ouch. Same goes even with walls my dear Doomguys, they are fake in lots of places and they will reveal a lot of monsters when you are nearby, some of them are just a thin obstacle for you, so prepare for projectiles coming from walls. As for the levels as I mentioned earlier, prepare for quite long and very difficult trips because there is a lot of fighting and nasty traps almost everywhere, even first level can end for you really early because of getting crushed. It is quite fundamential for you to grab as many secrets as possible because lots of the really strong weapons are hidden in them, especially in case of BFG of Plasma Rifles, it's good to have them as fast as possible, no joking. The visuals are outstanding here but do not look at them too long because in the meantime you might be ambushed or crushed by a spooky ceiling, or worse ambushed by a dozen or so annoying Phantasms, trust me this is a hard trip.

You've gotta love the interior design of this level. I know that the video isn't for admiring the scenery but I believe there's an attention to the details of the level design here. From the walls, the pillars, and even the sky itself. Excellent work!

Some map sets starve you for ammo to the point where melee and lining up enemies to get the most efficiency with each shot ends up being mandatory to beat them. This set on the other hand, dumps so many munitions bags on you, that you can are actually able to completely max out on that special mod specific MG42 ammo, that is only obtainable from said bags, halfway into map 2, and have no means of using it. XD

Man I loved the Project Brutality from a couple years back, but their recent update is even more kickass than it was before. Some of the most impressive weapon sprites and animations ever, and the diversity of weapons and enemies is astounding. The devs really outdid themselves this time. I have not played this map set, but from the video it looks gorgeous.

Oh no, for me this is far superior, maybe if not the length of the maps and the difficulty. But in case of originals, the Inferno was by far the weakest episode.
