I hate the ignorant comments that say "they're milking us" or "they've turned into EA" or something stupid like that. Firstly, they can't afford to license 30 tracks, and have tons of cars in the game. They literally built the best they possibly could with 4 million euros. Secondly, who says all the possible DLC they'll add will cost us money? It could be free! Thirdly, if they ever make a Project CARS 2, it'll definitely include a ton of cars. Just think, if this game sells one million copies, SMS will have a good 10+ million USD to play with for licensing.

Andrew F. To be honest, I'm even willing to pay for DLC if it's good value. If they for example buy new licenses from the profit they make and sell it as DLC, they can use those profits again for future DLC. I just hope there's gonna be a JDM DLC pack with some proper Japanese sports classics.

Thanks! Yup sure seems that way..No more complete games with manuals. Now its PERIODIC, "DLC" full online trial and buy bullshit! I really despise this "always onlne" generation you know... For example, the Ps4, as good as it is, lack a bunch of old features, like using your own pictures as a background, ability to store music, videos ect on your Ps4 ect.. ALL of those feats could have easily been brought back, but then again, Sony wouldnt have a reason to charge you for a music "app" instead (see Spotify ect)

People are getting too pissed at the car list. As a racing game WITH REAL RACE CARS ON REAL TRACKS the car list is fine, its those OTHER people that are trying to turn this game into NFS, GT or Forza.... If you want street cars go play those games. This is for racers, not you.....

***** Car Count =/= always equal a good game Lets looks back to GT4, Forza and ToCA Race Driver 3. IMO ToCA was the best of the 3 for good Damage, Actual Racing rules, and a max of 21 AI on the track. A much better Racing game over what GT4 and the original Forza was.....

Assetto Corsa has like 30 cars, half of which are reskinned Lotus-es. Then they have to audacity to released paid DLC after they do the full release instead of adding that those cars in with the full release of the game. After that I'm completely done with AC and that money grab game. PCars isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than AC and doesn't require a subscription like iRacing

Lol you guys gotta remember. Those of us on the PS4 are begging for a game to customize in. Yeah there's "The Crew", but its 100% online and not thought out well enough. Then again, that's more on the arcade side of things. We're all looking at those who enjoy Forza, and us in the PS4 section are still waiting for word on the next GT. And if you're like me, you're hoping the next quietly hyped NFS game is finally going to come back too it's good old PS2 days with seriously insane customization. The closest thing to car customization on PS4 in my opinion is GTA 5.

This game really need more iconic cars like : Nissan R34/35, Supra, GT40, Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, Shelby Cobra, Acura NSX, Lambo Countach, Audi Quattro, Porsche 959, Ferrari F40, Lambo Miura, Volkwagen Golf - Any, Ferrari Enzo, Lancia Stratos, Alfa Romeo 8C, a lot of American muscle cars too, and even Bugatti Veyron, i hope they'll add more, i'm really tired of Paganis and other super cars, not saying they suck just need something old but fresh in car racing games, people love old cars.

I have been following this game for over a year. I can't wait for the release. At first I saw that the physics were shoddy. I know they have improved. As far as the car list, I'm content with where it's at. Going from karts to GT3/2 cars and even formula 1 will be so much fun. Racing Le Mans with 20 laps and rain will be absolutely epic with 30-40 cars, including mixed series! The people who want to drift should just buy forza or NFS. This is a racing game with the focus on series. In Forza I had over 70 cars and I only used like 10-20% of them.

Yes I know that it's a racing game but there needs to be a balance of everything, Tbh, I find it more fun to race with cars that you see or did see yrs ago. I understand that this is a budget game but with a AAA pricetag. I hope the free cars would make up for this. I absolutely love some of the old classics never seen digitally before, and some inspired tracks choices to look forward to, but I certainly got the feeling there would be a much greater range of cars and I'm sad to say I am extremely disappointed there, especially having waited so long. I understand its about racing, but are not Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lola, Maserati, MG, Saleen, Toyota & TVR big names in GT racing?

Ade C Keep in mind how this is the first outing for the community based project. They won't have the funds to get those big money licences. If this game turns out to be a success, I imagine the car list will be much bigger next time around.

all great games have to start somewhere and if this is the first for this developer i am sure we will see more great things in the future. I am sure that if this game does well we will see more cars from and for other racing and street cars. It is no surprise that they went with f1 and le mans first since they are they most recognizable in they world.

I don't care about the lack of cars too much. The way this game was funded, I don't expect them to get the expensive licences right off the bat. If this game turns out to be great and becomes a huge success, I'm sure they'll be in a much better position to shell out for more licences when PCars2 comes along. As things stand, the PS4 is desperate for a good racer, my love for the Gran Turismo series is hanging by a thread... and this game is looking very good. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

gothops154 I agree but unfortunately that's the way the gaming world is now. I bought the most recent Total War game and it also had day one DLC which most people were unhappy about. I can't afford to keep buying different games because of all the extra DLC, season passes and shit that should be in the game from the start. That said nothing will change until consumers stop paying for all the extra DLC and season passes, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

i was expecting tons of cars with their respective clubs cup, tournament or "meeting" and and in spite of this there are 130+ courses yet so few cars (and a free car every month? how long they think people will play it or how long do we think they will keep bringing new cars for 60 new cars its gonna take 5 years ) when you make a game called project cars you must focus on cars first (my opinion) and bring to everyone how it is to drive from ford t to hennessey venom gt of course many courses makes it more interesting but more cars and events makes it even more and the combination of all makes the best but i have to acknowledge the awesome work on this game the realism the details and everything else on this game are magnificent

For those who think that cars are the most important, they are wrong. The most important are the circuits, and this game has plenty of them, and their variants. The cars that are not in the game, have in many other games, but many of the circuits does not have in any other game. The car list is like a couple of each class of cars if you know what I mean eg. Hatchback focus 'rs then a random scatter of super cars pagani McLaren .. there giving you a range of cars to get lap times this isn't like forza it's more for the tracks looks good though

Ugh, okay i agree. They need more street cars. But Project cars is a Driving Simulator with real Motorsport. If you want more of those, Play Forza, GT or NFS (Which also is a good option TBH, lol)

Its difficult to make up my mind on this game. It has a nice variety of car classes, outstanding graphics and is a long anticipated simulator but the absence of some of my favorite cars such as RX7, GTR, LFA, LaFerrari, Supra, Skyline, 69 Charger, Challenger Hellcat and Corvette make me feel like im always gonna want more from the game than what it will deliver. And yea DLC whatever. What the game might have half a year after release doesn't justify a launch day purchase to me.

Mayby not as many cars as in forza5 but still a nice collection of racecars to start with. And most important a lot off cool racetracks in the game. I think the careermode of this game will be a lot more funn than what forza5 offered.

When you are making a game with a low budget compared to your rivals then gameplay is the number one concern. If they spent their entire budget on licensing for Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and Jaguar's then there would be no money left to make a good game. By focusing on making a fun enjoyable game that people will buy and enjoy then that is more money for them in the future to develop a game with more licensed manufacturers. Its not that difficult to understand.

Though I am anxiously awaiting this game, I am disappointed with some of the cars that aren't in the game. Corvette C6.R, Nissan GTR, Dodge Viper (can't remember the race car name), just to name a few. I would love to see Trans Am series cars in this game. Hopefully there will be downloaded car packs, though I expect they will be expensive

As a VW group fanboy (and former employee) I miss very much the Gallardo GT3, 911 GT3 RS, Cayman GT4, Golf R, Audi RS3 (the new one), A4 DTM (as well as the other DTM cars). And form other companies McLaren SLR 722, M5 F10, C63 AMG. Where are all the german goodies ?!!?!?!??!
