Soda crystals with hot water. I used to clean out the water ways of the engine. Then I'm going to use Fernox radiator flush. it has an inhibitor and helps keep rust at bay.

I think that re-using old hoses is a false economy when you're doing a major revamp. If you use new ones you know you should be good for many thousands of miles, and they will look much tidier in your newly painted engine bay. Best wishes for 2025.

Thanks 😊. I know that the quality of new hoses isn't that great. I might keep them as a spare and for the Turner Ranger.
