thanks for this really useful as new ecoforest GSHP owners. Did you experience a loss in performance with the lower pressure? Really struggling to get ours heating to the required temperature, consuming loads of electric, and pressure is at 0.6 bar.
@BlakesDen4 күн бұрын
Thanks. I didn't notice any real loss in performance but sometimes it would shut down as the pressure was too low. From experience it takes a lot of tweaking to get the performance right. The lower flow temp means that it physically can't heat a room up as fast as a traditional radiator. I have fab assisted radiators and they seem to do the job ok.

If you're considering buying a second hand bonnet you have nothing to lose trying to repair this one, except a little steel, gas and wire. Watch some youtube videos for panel repair techniques and give it a go. It may turn out o.k. and you will have saved some cash, and at worst you will have had some practice. Best wishes.

Hi, that is useful information, but the coolant temp is only up to 72'C which means the thermostat isn't open yet. The operating range at idle set by the ECU fan control is 97' - 105'C. Next time you have the kit plugged in, could you please do another screen shot, or link and Excel sheet with all the values when fully warm. Interesting to have the data. It's so hard to trace a problem when you are not certain of what the correct values should be. Thanks.

I finally got caught up, firstly good for you saving this car! Couple of quick things, did you take off the front shock mounts, they almost always have rusted away behind them. And the other thing is for an MOT any non factory joins, e.g. the patches in the boot must have a continuous seam weld along the edges for it to pass. Hopefully not too late to address any you joggled and plugged. Great milestone to have her back on 4 wheels!
@BlakesDen2 ай бұрын
Thanks! No, I didn't do the shock mounts but my next plan is to start looking at the front end. I have seen some horror pics of corrosion on the mounts 😮. Boot floor I'm not too worried about as it will hopefully look like an invisible repair and I'm happy with the strength.

Yeah, it's a fiddly job! Make sure you have the brake cylinder as far through the hole as it will go. Also make sure that the backing plate isn't thick with paint or dirt. You should be able to just get the clip over the groove. I then hammered on it with a flat blade screwdriver to send it home. Good luck!

Thanks. It is a good system, it's has been very reliable. No, I've not had that error before. I'm wondering what could cause that issue? As pressure and temperature are linked I wonder if there is a pressure issue elsewhere in the system? Good luck with getting it sorted 🙂

@BlakesDen3 ай бұрын
I think that they do a 2 tonne version which should work. To be fair, the 1500kg version would probably do it but the shear pin on the motor drive may break first, it is designed to do that.

They both have hydraulically operated clutches which should be the same unless someone has upgraded yours to a racing clutch with stiffer springs. I would check the basics to see if your clutch slave cylinder isn't partially seized. You can also check the clutch pedal to see if that is well oiled and smooth
