You will need to link it to the immobiliser and key fob either using a T300 as shown in this video or via PScan. I've got a couple of PScan videos on my channel, that's my preferred way of doing it.

I think that re-using old hoses is a false economy when you're doing a major revamp. If you use new ones you know you should be good for many thousands of miles, and they will look much tidier in your newly painted engine bay. Best wishes for 2025.

I did similar in 2009 using filtered waste cooling oil and the results were that on checking emissions the values were really low, power was much more increased which I believe would be more mpg. They advise changing the fuel filter more often. However diesel engines were originally designed to run of peanut oil so the only issue I have had is flow through the injectors if the oil is much thicker viscosity than pump diesel. It may need to be thinned with an acceptable thinner oil, such as pump diesel. The vehicle exhaust does tend to smell sweeter and there seems to be less smoke. So it seems more environmentally friendly and is classed as a renewable fuel. If you know anything about "fossil" fuels and how the come about, they are also "renewable" the only variable is time.
@BlakesDen27 күн бұрын
Well said! When I first tried it I was doing it purely for cost reasons, it was cheaper than diesel at the time that I did the video. But I would agree, it does have benefits.

You might have some bad fuel or some dirt in the fuel tank which has gone back into the carburettor and blocked it again. Drain the fuel, clean the carb again and try with fresh. Good luck 🙂

thanks for this really useful as new ecoforest GSHP owners. Did you experience a loss in performance with the lower pressure? Really struggling to get ours heating to the required temperature, consuming loads of electric, and pressure is at 0.6 bar.
@BlakesDen2 ай бұрын
Thanks. I didn't notice any real loss in performance but sometimes it would shut down as the pressure was too low. From experience it takes a lot of tweaking to get the performance right. The lower flow temp means that it physically can't heat a room up as fast as a traditional radiator. I have fab assisted radiators and they seem to do the job ok.

Hi I.m.o this bonnet isn't worth the time/effort to fix... finding a Good (non-rusty front) will be a challenge I see New genuine ones are upwards of £240😳... however, Don't get a non-genuine...did that some many years ago And they Don't fit correctly 🙄 Good luck with whatever you decide, definitely worth saving a 1989 Designer! You are to be commended on that 👍

If you're considering buying a second hand bonnet you have nothing to lose trying to repair this one, except a little steel, gas and wire. Watch some youtube videos for panel repair techniques and give it a go. It may turn out o.k. and you will have saved some cash, and at worst you will have had some practice. Best wishes.

Hi, that is useful information, but the coolant temp is only up to 72'C which means the thermostat isn't open yet. The operating range at idle set by the ECU fan control is 97' - 105'C. Next time you have the kit plugged in, could you please do another screen shot, or link and Excel sheet with all the values when fully warm. Interesting to have the data. It's so hard to trace a problem when you are not certain of what the correct values should be. Thanks.
