Project FRESH: Lessening the Literacy Gap in Black Communities

With a passion for education and social justice, Kenya Handfield is expanding on her preventative and play-based platforms - Project Fresh and Project Fresh+ - designed to reduce the illiteracy gap experienced by Black families.
Project Fresh has already made a contribution to the Miami community, and its nonprofit expansion is sure to impact many students across the country before you know it.
Winner of our 2023 #OZYGenius Awards in partnership with AT&T’s Dream in Black, Kenya joins 4 geniuses from #HBCUs, along with 7 other geniuses, all working to change the world.
