Andy Weir's 'Project Hail Mary' is a modern sci-fi drama/thriller eipc!
This book was so much fun, such an adventure full of science, humour, problem solving, suspense, space travel with very high stakes and so much more!
Here is my full review on Andy Weir's latest sci-fi book, Project Hail Mary that I believe will be a huge hit right from the get go!

I agree. I love the narration by ray porter. Still reading through, it's very heavy on science so my imagination limits me to put the statements to picture, but still its very thought provoking!!

@@danielgoldman8017 I'l tell you this. The Martian was actually a better movie than a book in my opinion. The main character is a bit more childish and too jovial in the book. Some of the events are just displayed more realistically in the movie than described in the book. Also, Project Hail Mary is getting a movie production. Ryan Gosling is casted as Ryland Grace. Also with note is that the ship is called Hail Mary and it is full of only one surviving person named Grace. That's Hail Mary full of Grace. Just another pun.

You voiced all the things about the book that I loved. The first page just grabbed me by the throat and wouldn't let go. It was written in such a natural style with Grace's thought blending seamlessly with the story. Loved this book so much. I am 71 and have enjoyed sci-fi from a teen. This book is THE BEST sci-fi I have ever read! I put it on my Fire and gave it to my daughter. She and her husband read it together. She got so excited about it just as I did. Now, my son has it and he called to tell me he loves it. He doesn't read much, but he has taken to this book like crazy. Next, my husband will get it and we are all trying to keep from talking about it around him. He needs to experience it first hand. Can't wait for the movie. I will say because I loved this book I got Artemis. Man, that book is full of profanity. It was a good story but I can not recommend it for the language. Andy did not have to add all that filthy language and ruin a perfectly good book. That said, Project Hail Mary is light on the profanity, thank goodness.

@@danielgoldman8017 Absolutely! I googled Rocky Hail Mary to see how people visualize him. I also drew my version of Rocky which is a wide and short pentagonal prism with a dome in the middle. My rocky has perfect 72 degree symmetry at least for the outside. Initially it had brownish skin colour, then as the story went, I imagined more metallic dark shining colour.

Just like you I was hooked from the beginning and I finished it a couple of hours ago. Loved it! You'd be glad to know that it is being adapted to a movie with the writer of Martian as screenwriter, Lord and Miller as directors and Ryan Gosling in the lead!! You can watch Andy talk about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWK6e3uKrpd7gJI

Great review but the background music is too loud.

Oh sorry! Thanks for letting me know, I’ll be sure to make it quieter from now on. It’s always a balance I toy with and sometimes I don’t get it right. Thanks for letting me know

I couldn't finish the Martian (book) - the humour was so cringe. Couldn't do it.

Interesting. Comedy in books is always tough and subjective. I don’t know how Project Hail Mary compares, but I loved the humour in it! It’s also not a focal point, it is more just sprinkled in here and there

@@danielgoldman8017 agree, I actually heard that in this regard, this book is a bit better. Someone actually described it as The Martian without the cringe humor and terrible writing lol...enough for me to check it out. I didn't mind Artemis, and can tell that Andy Weir is a decent story teller who does his research. Thanks for the review!
