Yea. I literally just finished today, I can't picture how they're going to pull it off. I mean, hopefully I'll be surprised but it just seems prime to remove all of the science and engineering jargon, which for me was really critical in the story. It's how they communicated. Plus all of Rockies speaking will have to be subtitles, which would throw a lot of people off.

They did a really good job retaining 99% of The Martian. Obviously the movie can't go as deep but it got the story across really well. Spoiler alert incoming.... the only thing the movie didn't do was add the drama around getting to the other rocket, zapping the comms and the dust storm and all that. Oh, and the corny iron man thing :)

Project Hail Mary is an absolute ray of hope in the landscape of story. With the unending reboots, sequels, reimaginings, a compelling heartfelt believable story that is engaging without resorting to us against the ..... Is as refreshing as a well prepared "me-burger" probably would be. And a lot of stories fail to stick the landing, Mr. Weir is the exception to that trend. This is a book I read or listen to when I need a pick me up. And this video should he used to story board the upcoming movie

Loved it, Hail Mary Project is my favorite book of all times, the science in it is amazing and I love how he created Astrophage as an energy source which is a solution to solve issues that are overlooked in almost every scifi movie/book ever created.

The part of the book where they're orbiting Adrien, have a few minutes of triumphant solace after a mission well executed ... before Grace noticed the ship was rotating, then suddenly both Grace and Rocky get slammed to the walls as the Hail mary enters into an 11-G death spiral is probably one of the most intense sequences of literature I've -ever- had the pleasure of reading. That entire chapter lives rent-free in my head, and idk if theyll be able to pull off just how insane it reads in the book, just how near-death both characters come in that sequence, where Rocky, an alien from a high-gravity world struggles against the g-forces helplessly as grace has the blood squeezed out of his head... jfc haha
