@@cannedgoose3259 So, I'm going to choose to respond to this comment, but it goes for all of the comments mirroring this type of mindset: You know, I find that the people who shit on the game the most are people with 100s, if not 1000s of hours in the game. I've played WT in the past (Admittedly nowhere near 42 DAYS worth of time) and not once have I been tempted to spend a dime. For you, specifically, you have 1,008 hours in a Free game. Most gamers also go by a $ per hour ratio when talking about if a game is worth it to purchase. "Can I get 60 hours of fun out of a $60 game?" is such a common, admittedly bullshit mindset, but it is a common one. My question to you, after 1,008 hours in the game - How much money have you spent inside of it? For most games, I personally look on if I have a good time playing it. If a game is $70 and I get 20 hours of fun out of it, I feel like I win. I feel this way because EVERYTHING else in my life is expensive (Restaraunts, going to movies, hell I play Magic the Gathering and collect Pokemon cards... IYKYK) so, for a game that's given me 1000 hours, I feel like if I spent.. I don't know - $800 in it, I'd still feel like I got a SHITTON of value out of it. Unless of course, I wasn't having fun playing it. Then it really doesn't matter because that's on me for spending time doing something I hate. For you, your case may be that the game changed and got increasingly worse over time which is most definitely a fair critique. I was a HUGE fan of World of Warcraft (Still am, but admittedly not as much as back in the classic days) but I STILL enjoy my time in the game, think back to great raids and fond memories. I don't know what's worse. Spending 42 days worth of time in a game I hate, or spending 42 days worth of time in a game I loved but watching it change over time to something I hate. Either way, I feel like you got an absolute SHIT TON of time out of the game (Hopefully fun times) and now you spend your days malding over its current state. I don't get this side of the internet, I really don't. I also don't want you to think me saying "Malding" is insulting, I just don't know of a word to use that doesn't sound insulting. (Crying, whining, salty - They are all terrible lol - Just trying to have a conversation) WarThunder is a good game. You wouldn't have spent over 1,000 hours in it if it wasn't. You may not like it now and that's fair. But like, who cares at the end of the day? It's a sponsored segment of a video that you didn't have to even engage with. If you don't like the game anymore after 1,000 hours - Move on lol Play the literal MILLIONS of other games out there and try to enjoy it.

I pitched an extraction looter shooter game to the Games Fund, we had a really amazing deck and had thought through a lot of the details. They put us through two rounds of meetings, and asked for all our decks and detailed financial information. Then sent us a rejection letter saying they already have a project in the extraction looter shooter genre that they're investing in. I guess Project L33T was that one. Seems like they just farmed us for all our ideas and detailed information. I was told about the Sergei Titov connection later by some people in the game dev world and it all makes sense now.

@@MrQuicheProductions Well.. There actually are better solutions for this but the problem is that making realistic AND good looking AND working animations is hard. Really, really hard, time consuming and expensive. And making first person animations is doubly so. So much so that even AAA-studios rarely if ever does that. I know there are couple more but the only one with such first-person animations that are fully attached to the game world similarly as third-person animations often are, is Mirror's Edge. Of course, that game didn't have a calm and controlled slow animation for opening the doors, which is a must for this type of game, but the way it is otherwise animated is exactly what I'm talking about; way beyond the capabilities of smaller studios.

I played the closed beta for like 2 rounds. It barely ran over 40 fps and still looked mediocre at best (i got a pretty good pc) I basically needed dlss to get over 60fps and that AI stuff has its own artefacts. PvE felt boring, gunplay was super simple and the gameplay just felt ... uninspired It felt like someone looked up the definition of what an extraction shooter is and just did exactly what was written down

Hot take: This is also a problem with the UE store in general. It's too easy now to get RDR2 level graphics on your game for minimal effort, on top of the fact its even more easier to put together a simple PVP shooter, or even a PVE shooter. Delusional developers look at the store and UE5 and think they can make the next big battlefield, tarkov with just maybe 500$ in store assets and 6-12 months of throwing their game together. And the fact they don't have the best skills in the business means they unfortunately fail to utilize store assets in meaningful unique ways to separate themselves from the rest. Hence... Asset store flip, and to me Project L33T looks like its ripped everything from store bought assets. Even the inventory system. It's also the fact these clowns failed to even advertise the game. Other then Bigfry's coverage. I never seen anyone else talk about it. P.S. It also feels like this game was thrown together to just capitalize on Gray zone releasing and EFT releasing new stuff.... and even now Gray Zone is almost a dead game barely hovering around 2k players.... coming from 70,000 >.>...

I am excited for GZW to be progressing in the way that it is. I am sure I will still not be able to enjoy the game on my garbage rig but that is life. Hopefully "optimization" will come soon but I am sure that will not apply for my Lenovo Laptop. I really enjoy playing the game, up until I get in to an engagement and then the game goes down to 3 FPS and I am dead. I am looking forward to seeing what they are gonna bring in.
