I got a cheap catch can off amazon and just tossed in a copper scrub pad, works fine in my Is250. Been about 2 weeks and drained about 2 oz of oil/fuel mix, no water residue luckily.

man , people bust the RX8's balls , but they look so damn good . and if they didn't mess the rotory up it would of been a true beast

Yeah, the looks are definitely subjective. Some people love the curves, other people hate it. I particularly think they look quite good. Especially considering the age and the fact that they are technically a 4 door. The rotary is a really cool motor, but due to emissions and certain demands by previous customers Mazda really had to make some compromises on the Renesis. There are people stuck thinking inside the box thinking rotary is the only option for these cars. They will always be held back by the limits they put on themselves. Thanks for watching!

Thank you sir. This was actually filmed before the last video, but I finally got around to editing it. I think from here on out I should be able to get a video up each week and get this car finished. Thanks for sticking around

Is this something I could do with and LS/LF and have it be a street car or even daily drive it?

The catch can or the hood latches? Yes to the catch can and if you want hood latches for a daily driver I would upgrade to the locking type.

I know you did say with the hood latch’s to do them horizontally but they look way better on an angle like you did if I were to get them and do them at an angle how hard would you say that is

If you put them in the exact spot I did, there is some material that needs to be removed from the bottom of the latches. Otherwise, you may be able to mount the pins differently on the core support, and not modify the latch at all. I believe if they are mounted horizontally, the slot for the pin to go through has slightly more room. Modifications weren't extreme, just a little work with a file.
