It's been a long time since the last update but here we go. The weather has been very cold lately so it's nice to have the cabin fully insulated. Now I can work indoors without freezing my fingers :)
Ps. afterwards I realized that I overstated the roof movement. It has been about half the length I showed :P

We still don't have much winter here in my part of Canada, so it was nice to hear the crunching snow underfoot. 👍🙂

I really liked this episode, especially the last portion of listening to the trees. Thank you for sharing that experience.

You are doing an amazing job, the cabin should stay nice and warm, keep up the good work. I'll be anxiously waiting for your next update. Stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep warm and dry.

You can fasten strips to the log wall that will go slightly ontop of the ceiling. That way the ceiling slides down behind that strip with time. That way you can cover up everything. Will be like a baseboard.

Wow. Gorgeous night! We haven't had snow in many "winters." When we can travel again, I'm looking forward to traveling north. What was the purpose of the green tape (since the paper was stapled to the furring strips)? Is the paper a moisture barrier as well? The ceiling material is gorgeous. The exterior of the front door is weathering nicely too.

The paper is not holding the moisture but it works as a wind barrier. And the tape was just to make sure it's somewhat windproof. The logs will move so let's see if the tape will stay in place...

Käännä se piipun peitelevy 90 astetta niin ei tarvii leikata reikää isommaksi ja tulee siistimpi jälki 👍

It looks like rockwool insulation or similar. I believe its made from recycle products, like old jeans or similar.
