For me, the ideas in kzbin.infoUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

Excelente trabajo!

Very nice, you do amazing work. It would make a neat sleeping loft even for adults...lol, provided they didn't sit up too fast and knock their selves out but kid's, they'd love it. Above the closets in the cabin we built (cathedral ceilings so not to waste the space) we built a storage space. Built doors matching the wood walls so I can invision a lift up door to enclose the loft or to hide whatever you may store up there. Stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep warm/dry.

Sucesso no canal. Forte Abraço.

You'll probably want to install some kind of safety railing before you let the kids have any sleepovers in the loft - saying this as someone who has vivid memories of being 10 years old and waking up mid-air as I was falling out of a very tall bunk bed. ;-)
@FinnishPlayground3 жыл бұрын
Sure I'll do that. I would be scared to sleep even myself without railing :)

Hello, You are right, kids love to sleep on lofts of cabin. BtW, when joining these profiled boards, don't cut them in same lenght, make joint "zig-zag". One shorter, one longer and on next row, swich longer and shorter. This A) looks better, B) prevents "wall" from moving separately. TIP: This freezing days are best for catching pike :)
@FinnishPlayground4 жыл бұрын
thanks. The boards were difficult length, so I couldnt do that zig-zag this time :)

I love watching your videos! Thank you for sharing your hard work. I am curious. Why is so much of the tongue on your tongue and groove boards still exposed (on the outside)? Is this typical In FInland? The tongue and groove boards here in the U.S. are milled so the boards fit closer together - more like the wood you used on the inside.
@FinnishPlayground4 жыл бұрын
I think there are just different styles available. These boards were used in our house porch.

If you don’t mind the lazy question, I watch some of your videos but not all: were the loft boards power jointed/planed? Been doing mostly hand tool hobby work, and I can’t imagine doing that many boards by hand plane lol

I know it's a little late for birch bark here in New England / US, is it the right time of year for this over there?
@FinnishPlayground4 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a good time for dropping birches, but this one was already fallen. I have no idea how the bark itself reacts to the season..
@ctwest36014 жыл бұрын
@@FinnishPlayground It's my understanding that it's much easier to harvest bark when the sap is running, so in the summer. Also wet weather helps at it's more flexible. Ideally you harvest from trees you plan to fell later, but they can survive well if you don't go too deep. This is of course easier to do when the bark comes off without a fight.
@FinnishPlayground4 жыл бұрын
@@ctwest3601 Thanks for the information! In this case the bark came out easily because the wood was rotten, but I can imagine it can be very tough.

6:11 why are the boards put from outside and not from the inside on the top? Is it a style matter, space save or some other reason?
