Check your distributor. 383 / 400 is a low deck big block with a counterclockwise rotation. You have a small block with a clockwise rotation. Rotation and shaft length I believe is different.

Hey Cleet, a Coyote is still a mod motor. It's the amalgamation of the 03/04 terminator 4.6 and the VCT from the 3-valves.

Yep! Same bore spacing, bellhousing pattern, deck height, oiling system. It's essentially just a modular block with a slight overbore and slightly longer stroke to get that 5.0 number. Then they slapped some kick-ass heads on it and magic happened.

A 383 is a big block in the Mopar family.. its the same block as the 440.. all mopar's look smaller due to the puny heads.. with one exception.. 426 hemi heads.. There are two different blocks though called short and tall deck..

The Holley EFI is easy though, a carb is 4 bolts, and the throttle body just replaces the carb. It's as easy as swapping out a carb then plugging it in. There is a reason why Holley Snypers are the most popular EFI swap around. @@FourRulesRacing

corn cob, the issue is very likely the fuel supply vs. carburetor. it's probably boiling off the fuel in the lines from tank to pump and up to carburetor. (vapor locking) it needs an electric pump at fuel tank, dual lines to front with return style regulator near engine, heat wrap all the lines from rear to carburetor inlets and run a phenolic carburetor spacer to keep engine heat off of it. depending how much fuel is in the tank, it may need heat shielded, if it's a steel tank maybe rusty inside and stirring the rust blocking inlet screen.

With that “self tuning” sniper you may still wanna get Nate. If the cam in corncob doesn’t make enough vacuum at idle it won’t be happy. It’ll run, but the learn table will be ever changing especially at idle and on start up when hot

Yeah I’m surprised it ran period as neglected as that carb looked They should’ve just ordered a worked over 4412 from willys and let it sing (while a 4412 is a 2barrel they can be modified to flow like a decent 4barrel and 4412s are about the least picky carb ever and you’ll never get slosh issues like you may with a 4 barrel)

That new VMP blower is actually the same size as the old one, it uses the TVS 2.65 rotor pack. It’s just a huge intercooler on the top and the blower is inverted. Similar to the coyote gen5 whipple kits. Will be way more efficient than the previous setup. Although I was really hoping for the big 3.8L Gen5 whipple!!

Stock coyote cams aren't a restriction til you hit 1000 wheel horsepower. And btw, you should have that thing rev to over 8,000 rpm's. That sound is so unique
