I just accidentally clicked a link while writing my reply and youtube reloaded without asking me if I wanted to finish, I'm just going to abridge it Kicks have no punch now, its pretty much every genre with this problem but its painfully obvious in kickdrum heavy music We went from diverse melodies including stuff like this (happy, victorious, powerful, but also stuff that rawstyle uses, I wholly mean diverse ) to the sterile, saccharine "accessible" melodies usually heard now in hardstyle Now everyone is divided because of this mainstream direction which just brings in ignorant people who don't care about the bigger picture beyond current trends In reality everyone who cares for hardstyle loses their shit over Project One @ qlimax and say they're playing "real" hardstyle, which is true but its not the only "real" hardstyle obviously, just one of many directions that feels right and not completely stagnant There's a reason Showtek left, I think many don't realize even now
