Still coming back to this set. Nowadays the defqonj mainsstage opens with people like Vertile. There used to be a nice build up during an egeent. Now it's just the same level over energy/rawness the entire day. Such a disappointment. Nothing against Vertile, truly, I like the guy and he is an outstanding producer. But he deserves a spot later during the night haha!

Headhunterz is not coming back, he is going to do Project One again but with his Headhunterz alias he wants to keep producing whatever he feels like at the time he is in the studio, he thinks picking one genre is holding him back (he said that in multiple dutch interviews) but yes in a way he is back now

Not really, almost everyone was happy with the 2008-2010 style. Nowadays it's either decent tracks by older artists (b-front, frontliner etc) or happy humble jumble stuff that all sounds the same. Most of the older artists are even going back to the 2008-2010 style because it was soooooo much better. The scene was great back then :D Just my opinion ofcourse. I started listening hardstyle back in 2006 or something, so I can't judge for the people who experienced the Oldschool era

It's so funny how different tastes are. I started in 2005 and the sensation black in amsterdam was my very first hardstyle event. I loved the era form 2005 to 2007. After that, I still loved it but not that much as in the beginning. However, in 2012 the scene came back to me with full force. The pitched kick was finally developed in a good and hard way. No split between raw and euphoric, frontliner's symbols, headhunterz' last good year, so high, take me there, and so on... The most incredible year for me. Never thought that I could love that music even more than when I've discovered it. Maybe it's also the nostalgia for many people, I don't know. That's just my opinion, of course ;)

I'm a 27 year old guy from the Netherlands... Me and some friends started listening hardstyle in 2007. We loved it SO MUCH, all day and all night hardstyle was on my Mind! (almost like you're in Love).. Now 10 year later, We still love it! The kicks nowadays are even better and harder, the melodies and Synths are more refressing... But there was a time (around 2014) we felt like the hardstyle scene was falling apart.. especially when HEADHUNTERZ decided to stop producing hardstyle.. and when the gap between EUPHORIC and RAW hardstyle began to grow.. it really felt like the hardstyle familiy (all around the world) fell apart.... Our LOVE for hardstyle still exists! For all the HARDSTYLE Fans and lovers all around the world......... The gap between the subgenres of hardstyle is closing up.. people start calling it hardstyle again! Some of you still prefer the earlier hardstyle.. But hardstyle is hardstyle again!... And so let's all hope That Headhunterz is turning complety back to Hardstyle! for 100%.. becauze I think Headhunterz is THE nr 1 DJ in this Scene, who can make the hardstyle family ReUnited Again!

I have never smiled so hard in my entire life, and that was just from watching the video. I can't even begin to imagine what I would've felt if I was there. How the fuck you can stand still and hold your phone through this - Project One's first performance in 8 years - is absolutely fucking beyond me. Watching this set made me feel emotions I have honestly never felt in my life. This may be the happiest I have ever been in my life, and I truly mean that. Fuck phone users. 2008 = first Qlimax for me 'Project One' blaast het hele Gelredome omver en laat een indruk na op mij die ik nooit eerder gehad heb op een feest en bijgevolg nooit ben vergeten... de jaren nadien wordt het stil rond hen en zie ik hen helaas nergens meer optreden; ik kan niet opnieuw genieten van dergelijke unieke ervaring van weleer... tot... na 8 jaar..... 'Project One' als Mystery-Guest op Qlimax terug staat op de plek waar het allemaal begon voor mij met een show die mij nog wekelijks kippevel bezorgt en doet nadenken aan het voor mij mooiste moment in mijn hele uitgaans-carrière in de hard-dance-scene op 15 jaar tijd!
