What kid doesn't love a way to store their money? These Letter Banks are a fun way to teach young ones to save. They could even be used to collect other things like heart shapes at a wedding or other creative ideas you have!
The design comes with two "spacer" layers, but you can add more to make the bank as deep as you'd like them to accommodate whatever you like.
All letters are available individually OR as the full set.

I don’t know if it’s the correct pronunciation but I call the glue you use Go 2, because it’s my “go to” glue for these kinds of projects. It’s catchy, easy to remember and so much easier than saying each letter individually. Great job on the banks. I love the pop of color after they are painted.

Glad you love them! They’ve been my most popular design for several years now. I create files for laser owners to cut - I don’t sell physical items. But if you go on Etsy and search for “Letter Banks”, you’ll find a ton of people use my design and sell the finished items and you can order whatever letter and color you’d like from them.

Sure! I intentionally designed it to keep it easy to assemble and still get the money out of the top the same way it went in. And in the video I talk specifically about adding additional spacers if you want it thicker to accommodate paper money and other items more easily.

Will the "base" need to be bigger (in depth) if you add more spacers to the bank?

No. You may want to move the slot one way or the other to keep the overall bank centered in the base, but the base is large enough to accommodate quite a thick bank.

I can’t get my bank to stand.. was it a mistake to cut it all out of acrylic?

Hi! Sorry I missed your question. No, you can cut it from whatever material you want, but acrylic would be quite pricy. With any material, you'll measure the material with calipers, adjust the slot in the base and the tab length if needed, then you'll be good to go. @@Chayo082465 Sure! Just use the built in settings. For 1/4” it would be Thick Acrylic settings.

@@BigBlueLaserDesigns the cricut maker can cut maximum of 2.4 mm thick MDF and 0.020mm acrylic. Are any of the material needed for this project thicker?

@@auntylou1000 That’ll end up being up to you. As I’m sure you saw in the design description, I recommend 1/4” for the spacers to be sure the bank is thick enough to allow the coins to move freely. If you’re limited to materials that thin, you’d have to use 6-8 layers or more just to create a minimum amount of thickness. So my answer would be no. But you can check out all of the info in the listing to see if it’s something you’d want to try.
