Great to see the old 'NahG' (Not a headGasket) truck back in the rivers again! Good on ya! I was Tims wife at the time, we bought it for $1k with engine issues. I did the custom camo paint job. If you buy a tin of spray laquor (matt not gloss from memory) for $20 and spray over the camo annually over the camo job it will protect it from gorse and broom scratches. I have heaps of photos and vids of driving this truck up the Clyde river, i drove it all the way to St Winifred hut. Very capable trucks, especially with lokkas. Great to see your modifications. The partner Pajero 1994 we bought earlier was called the Hunting Truck. The camo strop i painted on that one was more black rather than silver. Hope you fixed the aircon 😉

Great Pajero build. I really like your rear drawer setup. I may emulate it!

I'm building exactly the same Paj right now to explore Scandinavia. You removed the swaybar in the back, is it possible to remove the one in the front too or does get to bad? Great car and video. Greetings from Germany!

Thanks mate! Nah I've kept the front sway bar as I've read that these get a bit dicey when the front sway is removed, I'm actually due for new sway bar bushes up front, might pull it off for a test!

Great video, just wondering you didn’t mention anything about new front shocks for a 2” lift. Are the stock ones long enough after trimming the bump stops and winding up the torsion bars? Looking to lift mine on the cheap

Awesome truck. Being a petrol do you have any problems with river crossings or has the snorkel totally taken away the risk of drowning the engine?
@HighCountryOverlandingNZ Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Nope never an issue, have taken it into some deep water for long periods and has never misfired or taken in water through the intake, Closest call I suppose was getting stuck in a river and water making the alternator go funny with lights on the dash!
