2022 is almost over, but in the final month we get one of the most anticipated horror games! MOB Games have swept the world with their huge hit Poppy Playtime and while we eagerly await the arrival of chapter 3, they treat us to an early Christmas present with Project Playtime. This is an asymmetrical multiplayer game where 6 players need to solve puzzles while evading a monster that is also controlled by a player. Currently the monsters are Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs and the newest introduction in the form of Boxy Boo.
Two maps are currently available: The Theatre and The Factory. Though the optimization is a bit rough at the moment and it can also be quite buggy, I had a lot of joy in playing this. A lot more joy than most other similar horror multiplayer games. Often, I feel that the disadvantage for the human players is way too big, but I found it rather balanced this time. Though the monsters are always faster, there are plenty of ways to escape or lose your pursuer. The puzzles you have to solve are also more fun than just starting generators over and over again. I do hope that more puzzles will be introduced in the future as only three can become a bit repetitive after a while. The maps themselves are also beautifully detailed and really atmospheric. It's just a shame you don't really have the time to appreciate it all since you are being chased constantly.
In this video we will be facing off against each of the monsters on both maps. That means we will be facing off against Huggy, Mommy and Boxy in the Theatre and then also all three of them on the Factory map.
This game just released in early access, so there is plenty more to come and we will definitely keep you posted on future updates!

Damn straight. I hate playthroughs where the KZbin talks constantly over the sounds and dialogue. It takes the fun out of the actual gameplay. And gets SOOO irritating after a short while!

Ok so if any of the viewers that are confused about what I'm saying about, The Prototype is not Lieth Pierre. When you're Huggy, a mysterious voice can be heard. That mysterious person tells you to kill all the players around the map. Huggy places little Huggys around the map. The game tells you when the little Huggys spot a player, they scream. Huggy gets alerted and gets to that location where the player was spotted and unalives the player.

I highly suspect the evil voice at the beginning for the monster's tutorial was the prototype. His voice in the toy's heads, telling them what to do and how to do it. That's probably how the prototype controlled most of the toys to participate in the Hour of Joy.

Huh…you know what? I don’t know about all of you guys but the moment you first hear that evil monstrous voice @8:35 (to me) it sounds a lot like the voice actor who played the role of ‘Bendy’/Ink Demon from the new BATDR game. Edit 12/17/22: (Welp….looks like I was wrong the voice actors are indeed two different people like I originally thought. Since the one who the voice of the monster inside Huggy’s head was voiced by Michael Kovach, while “The Ink Demon” was voiced by “Sean Crisden”. So again I made a mistake and the person who I thought it was wasn’t it).

I like Poppy Playtime and I don't get why some people HATE Poppy PLaytime. I can understand if people don't like it because it doesn't fit their taste. But to HATE it? It's not a bad game. Does it use very trendy horror game tropes? Yeah. But it does them well. I would say it does them better than older horror indie games. People often call it a rip-off of Bendy in the Ink Machine. To me, bendy and the ink machine was a massive disappointment. It was pretty boring and didn't know what if it wanted to be A horror game or an FPS action game. Poppy Playtime was what I was hoping Bendy and the Ink Machine would be. Its exploration oozing with atmosphere while you solve puzzles and try to escape monsters that will kill you instantly if you don't run was a fun experience that, and this is important, I. WOULD. LIKE. TO. PLAY. AGAIN. So rarely do indie horror games, heck games in general, give me an experience that I would like to go through a second time. FNAF is a good horror game but I don't find much replay value in it. And like I said, BATIM failed to be that Indie Horror game I was hoping for. Any game I would like to play again did something right. And for that, I like Poppy Playtime.

I don’t really like Poppy Playtime. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first chapter, which felt like it really nailed the feel they were going for. Hell, the second chapter wasn’t too bad either, but what I really have a problem is is the oversaturation of the series. Before the second chapter realised, Mob Games already began to sell plushies shirts, and more outrageously NFTs. Then, when chapter two released, they sold more shirts, more toys and allegations came out of stealing ideas and mistreating employees. Now, before chapter three even released they already made a multiplayer spin-off. With a new monster that in my opinion, seems rather lazy and uninspired. The past few monsters were based off real monsters with creative designs, this one is just a box.

It can be it's own entity that can be bought one time while never buying the unnecessary merch. However, if Chapter 3 is bad, due to the company that made it making it more corporate than atmospheric horror, that would make me lose some attachment to it.

But it’s annoying to hear people say they’re milking the franchise because there was one new item added to the catalog of merchandise. Or they were doing a collab with another company/game. Or they’re coming out with a brand new game. Like it really doesn’t make any sense actually. Most the things the haters complain about have nothing to do with the actual game itself and also things like there being a project playtime or chapter 2 pretty soon makes sense because they obviously planned and have been developing this stuff from way back then. Games and merchandise don’t just get thought of and then released a week later. It had to have been planned for months prior to the release or more. Also people tend to forget that although fnaf barely had any games or anything added to the series their movie was announced way back then but it just still hasn’t come out yet.
