Project Range Rover - EP 3 - The Leaky Tank

In this video I bodge a repair to my range rover fuel tank using some JB weld SteelStik and some spare 18 guage sheet steel so that it can be used during the restoration. Not a long term fix but hopefully good enough to keep water out and petrol in.

When I got my first Range Rover back in 1994 the petrol tank leaked out of the bottom. It was doing 11 miles to the gallon. Fitted a new tank. The Range Rover I am restoring now has a plastic tank, which had a hole in, but I was able to plastic weld that up. Easier, much easier.

Yeah, I am looking at either fitting a plastic tank or buying a new steel one once it is finished, but for the meantime the bodge fix should stop it leaking or water getting in.
