Cool stuff! I just got fiber installed in my neighborhood about 5 months ago. I'm not familiar with the terminology, but I had noticed numerous of those squares (7:50) throughout or street. I found it funny when I found a traffic cone that was placed upside down in one of the holes they made between our mailboxes. But they came back within a day or so and got everything all patched up.

How do you bill something like this? Was it a fixed price quote or what?
@TheEvilWarlordZarcotimas7 күн бұрын
Never seen that type of housing with no threads for the tri hawk. Is it pretty firm when trying to rock and steer or a little loose? Curious to know because I like how easy it looks to change different bit types.

It’s stiff, no play really between the housing and the adapter for the bit.

How did you charge the customer for all the extra work?
@lifeasweknowit52807 күн бұрын
We knew it was going to be a hard one so we charged the customer accordingly.

@@lifeasweknowit5280 Bid ahead of time or was it added to the price as it got worse?
@lifeasweknowit52807 күн бұрын
No we had the price set before hand. The area is known for being a hard place to drill so we made sure to get enough before we started. Not all projects work out that way.

@@lifeasweknowit5280 That must be nerve wracking until the job is done and the costs analyzed.

Yeah it can be stressful.

Those teeth were toasted while installing. Man why do you hit the top with hammer? It has a vidia point. Which cracked with first two stroke. After next to nothing operation the vidia insert fall out and left the hard steel them self. Get a guy with lathe and make a proper reverse cone shaped install tool. cheers

l live the other side of the word. I know you have most of wood housing. Here is everything stone or concrete. So it is well know here. However I have couple of friends, who are working tumbstones. They are properly hard. Nothing scratch it, except vidia. Saidly only a handful old tool-blacksmith left. They basicly died out.

Someone suggested using a brass hammer to install the teeth. I might have to try both.

Is rock always that big of a pain in the butt?
@lifeasweknowit528012 күн бұрын
It depends on the type of rock but it’s usually a pain.
