I can’t stand Wendy. She really should have gone out on the very first challenge. I can only guess the producers knew what an obnoxious asshole she was and kept her for that reason.

Mr.Austin Scarlett should have won or he should have been runner up in season 1. I love his look and his unique fashion and he was my favorite person to watch during that season.

@Colorful Animations Project Runway is not a design competition. It's a tv show about a design competition. I believe Austin didn't win because the producers didn't want the winner of their first season to be a stereotypical gay guy. It makes for a better story if the punk rock guy or the single mom that everyone hates wins. If it was based purely on merit, there's an argument to be made that he should have placed higher, but he placed exactly where he was supposed to in order for the story the producers wanted to tell to work.

i just watched the all stars series and fell in love with austin and his designs from the first episode. that last dress is breathtaking and i love each and every design he made from this series. a true artist.

I had missed the first couple of seasons. I am so glad that Heidi and, of course, Michael Kors and Nina lightened up over the years. They all acted so melodramatic in the first season.

I just started watching Project Runway ( I know I have been under a rock apparently) any who that rose dress was so gorgeous I would wear it in a heart beat! I just wonder if it is being sold anywhere. If not, it certainly should be. Just stunning. The swimsuit was insanely gorgeous as well. Austin did a fabulous job. I just didn't like that wedding dress but out of all of his that was the only one I didn't care for. I am sure he will continue to grow.

OMG, Love Austin Scarlett. Such a symbol of the old world style of men of a bygone era. I remember that season with Austin's 'Cornhusk' dress and the "boho Courtney Love" wannabe model he had for the wedding dress challenge. Plus Austin was 'so fine' it was hard not to stare at him.
