I came to reread everything from the start and it's still very saddening... I'm used to the current situation with Mizuki but somehow I started to imagine what would I do if I were Ena? People never really value lies and affairs, even if we all said in unison that we know it's not the case, if it were any other person I doubt it that we would be able to go deeper than our own perception. I mean, Ena should've been shocked right? She is very just as a person and is authentic, and then to realize the person who she had known before has always been 'something else' that none of them knew about. As a girl, she might have first thought after hearing these plots, that "No way, so they were actually a boy that whole time. Are they this much perverted?? To think how many times we've been together and interacting like that or dressing or being so close physically". To Japanese girls it's a sensitive topic isn't it? And any other girl out there eventually, because it would feel very weird. And because that was the worst moment possible, Ena couldn't think rationally because she was frightened by the general context. It's very complex I think, this phenomenon, and lies. Some people do it in order to exploit and deceive someone for the time being, the others may do it because they know that they have something personal that others would never understand or feel the same thus it would push people away if they don't hide it. And Mizuki is the second type, she really speaks out of her heart (keitai renwa reference lol) and always appears to be an authentic person too. And the confusion between whether it's a lie or whether it was a misunderstanding caused because of 3rd party and between thoughts "who has Mizuki been? Who is she? But she is a girl! And yet, thee truth speaks! But I don't see Mizuki as a boy!" And so on... This brought so many questions to Ena, many more than ever before, and the pain that she wasn't able to react the right way, that she had never experienced a friendship like that before, and the pain of fully acknowledging true Mizuki's feelings and her own pain, that whole anguish she's been feeling forever since they had all met. It's just... breaking... it broke Ena too, not just Mizuki. They all are suffering right now.. And I bet it feels similar way once you spot a liar before they reveal their lies themselves, whatever these lies may be. I heard, witholding important information is considered by our nervous system as a danger and a manipulation, thus a manipulation is considered to be a lie. If there is a lie, there is no more trustworthiness between people and uncertainty takes over the relationship. Until both people make things clear for each other, it's either one of them would suffer from the lie or actually both of them would break up even though they both had aimed for mutual respect and love... That topic just can't leave me in peace, and it occupies me pretty often somehow. It's hard when all your brain is aiming for us to understand the complexity of people.. but I bet not everyone is like that and that is the reason why so many relations between people are fragile, because most of people are not keen on philosophy of that type ..anyway I'm still so sorry for them all, I really want to believe they won't ever fall apart like that again and will get back to each other😢
