Beautiful work on the zipper! Thank you for sharing the tutorial you used. It looks like such a great fit and well worth the effort you put into it. I love that he wore it to work right away!

I’m so with you on the bore of stockinette (particularly in the round!). The only thing worse is garter stitch flat…😅 Like you, I love cables and textures.

Great job! I’m working on the Jenny Jacket right now. I love that every 6th round I get to do something different. I agree with you that a garment that’s primarily stockinette might seem endless. A friend suggested I try working the sleeves with two short circular needles rather than magic loop. It works great and helps me avoid the laddering that I sometimes get with magic loop. I wonder if that might have been a good option for the sleeve area of your husband’s sweater. I think I’ll use it more often when working sleeves rather than magic loop.

Sometimes, ripping out is a necessary evil. 🤦🏾♀️ Bottom up is definitely not my favorite! 🙅🏾♀️ Excellent work on sewing in the zipper. 👏🏾

My two most daunting projects were my husband's sweaters mostly because they were black and dark grey but also because they were knit in pieces and seamed. They took forever! That being said there isn't a more knit worthy person in my life. He loves his sweaters and wears them with pride. I knit the Rift by Jared Flood. Your husband's sweater turned out great! I'm so glad I found your lovely podcast...looking forward to watching back issues. Happy knitting from Ontario Canada. I think I counted four different nail colours, impressive! (😎)

The sweater looks amazing! I'm currently knitting one of these for my husband but stalled out on the first sleeve. You've inspired me to pick it back up 😊

You can pick up stitches in the middle of the knitting 100 times easier if you hold your knitting against the light instead of in your lap. You can also just use a 2mm long cable needle and immediately start knitting from mit.

Nice work 🤩 ! I'm currently knitting a zippered sweater for myself, and the zipper part construction is pretty tricky to understand, especially because of the instructions that are not very clear to me. Fingers crossed it'll work out in the end !

@jennyrakoto good luck with your zipper! The good thing is you can always undo and attempt it again 😁
